Ah yes, @AMagdalena I’ve had that before. It’s actually quite nice! More fruity. I might get some in 👍🏻

I found some becks blue in my cupboard and have been drinking that. I like that but it’s not wine.

I’m feeding him now and then his next feed can be his evening bottle. I might just tap into a small glass! 😬

@Ven83 you are completely right we do put so much stock in them getting enough sleep and our jobs looking after babies is seen as not a job but an easy rideShock the only thing I worry about is that my DH works with adults with challenging behaviours so has to be quite on the ball otherwise this can lead to a world of hurt for him and maybe others but I was pissed because it was the weekend and this is the only time he has with me and the kids and also I will be doing day and night feeds for rest of week and all next weekend as he is working and now I feel guilty for being annoyed because he does work a lot so round I go again with the battle in myself xx

GingerHanna · 19/11/2017 17:36

I’m drinking @Hazardduck. Currently on flat champagne aka white wine and had G&T last night. Usually whilst / just after feeding so it doesn’t get through to him.

hazardduck 😂 and its not even the middle of the night ginger

Jellybabie3 · 19/11/2017 17:52

Ds is napping a tonne atm. Like up to 3hour naps (on me) is this norm as part of growth spurt? Not complaining just suprised!

theotherendofthesockportal · 19/11/2017 18:25

My parents looked after DD whilst DH and I shopped for a new tumble dryer. She was a bit mischievous whilst she was there, mostly she fought going to sleep. It gave me a sense of relief that it’s not just me who struggles with DD.

DH bought me a Costa Coffee whilst we were out, so I feel less murderous towards him now.

AMagdalena · 19/11/2017 18:42

Jellybean He's the boss then hehe
My DD can be very much like that.

Jellybabie He could be building up to a growth spurt or just tired after last night's disco?

Not ready for the night shift 😭

Jellybabie3 · 19/11/2017 18:51

Oh heck yeah i guess as he is 6 weeks old now

Lallypopstick · 19/11/2017 18:55

This thread has filled up quickly! Hopefully the third thread will be a short one as we’ll all be sleeping through.

HashtagTired · 19/11/2017 18:57

Dinner done.
Off to bed for me.

Night all. Catch up later, no doubt 😏

I'm afraid I have had wine! Just a glass here and there. I didn't for the first few months with DD but I'm a bit more relaxed about it this time. I've read that hardly any goes in the breastmilk although obviously depends how much you drink. Didn't drink at all during pregnancy so enjoying a glass of red with a meal.

AMagdalena · 19/11/2017 19:38

I haven't had any alcohol mainly because I'd probably collapse after a mouthful thanks to sleep deprivation. I might treat mysrlf at Christmas though.

HashtagTired · 19/11/2017 20:07

I opened a bottle tonight and poured s glass of red. It wasn’t as nice as I remembered; it’s been almost a year. I had maybe 1/3rd of it before coming to bed. I’ll have another glass tomorrow.

So I went to bed over an hour ago. Why am I still up? My dd has been shouting in her bedroom and singing loudly. I am filled with rage and can’t sleep. I’ve been in three times and asked her to be quiet, as well as yell from my bedroom. I’ve lost over an hour of precious sleep I could cry. I’m so angry now that I’m nowhere near sleep. I even shouted at her for being noisy and not listening to what she was told, and now I’m riddled with guilt for being so shouty. She’s 5, she doesn’t understand. She’ll get a whole night of effing sleep. I’m livid. I’m feeling guilty. Then I’m back to livid again.

😡😔😡😔😡😔😡😔

Har a great sleep this afternoon for 2 1/2 hours while dh had lo who also slept. But now hes again been attached to me almost sine 5.30 pm with short breaks in between... at one point he brought up quite a bit of milk. He feeds 15 -20 minutes but it's ongoing and he still wants more but he also falls asleep so now he's just in a bodysuit as I think he was too warm and comfy earlier..wr get plenty of wet and dirty nappies. I can't believe that at 00.08 hell be a week oldSmile
He's full term but only weighed 2805g at birth. Any suggestions or am i just over thinking it (again)?

Lovingtyrells · 19/11/2017 20:32

I have been drinking wine just less than usual, thought I would be really trashed after not drinking for months but I wasn’t ?!

DS had 2 naps today - being held as I couldn’t be bothered with the put down then cry today.

Jellybean2017 · 19/11/2017 22:07

I'm home from my evening out and feeding. DS refused the bottle of expressed milk I left but slept in the sling with DH for 2/3 hours I was out. He has napped quite well in between screaming today. (still only naps in sling or arms though) Still feel that familiar dread of the night shift though!

Thread 3
How about "Still awake with a (not so) newborn - the further adventures of EBLL"

😂

Jellybabie3 · 19/11/2017 22:49

Love it Grin

Meepmoop · 19/11/2017 23:21

It was my DH birthday today so we had a lovely meal and day out with his family. My DM looked after DS for us but he is out of his usual routine.
Paying for it now as he’s overtired and I can get him to sleep in his cot for more then 20mins. The perfect amount of time to nearly be asleep.

Sleeping lovely on me though. It’s going to be a long night.

I hope everyone else is fairing better!

Bobbiepin · 20/11/2017 00:15

Hi everyone, DD is in the midst of a cluster feed, she must be in for a growth spurt. DH has gone to bed although he did do some useful littering around to make me comfy on the sofa. If she's sticking to form I've got a couple of hours of bf left tonight. She's letting out some serious farts though so I guess we've got some nappy changes lined up too!

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 20/11/2017 00:58

Hello all! Checking in with our first feed. Not an easy bedtime. DS has been cluster feeding and threw up his feed just as I'd got him settled. He then threw up to more times, so his sleepyhead, swaddle and clothes were soaked. Did settle but after all that I was stressed so I didn't sleep till about 1030. Feel your pain so much @Hashtag - I really hope you got to sleep and got a decent stretch in.

In other news, earlier this evening I burst into tears when my dad dropped my favourite cafetiere and smashed it. Feel bad for doing so but it just felt like the last straw - it's my lifeline in the morning! Just shows how my emotions are on a knife edge I guess...

Love the new thread title suggested!

Jellybean2017 · 20/11/2017 01:06

First feed here. Will set up new thread! Sounds like a challenging night so far Percy. Tiredness just magnifies everything 😔
