tell me all about it

unless it is me

southeastastra · 08/06/2009 17:30

er tell them?

CurryMaid · 08/06/2009 17:30

I think most people do this

Don't they?

georgiemum · 08/06/2009 17:30

Hmm. I usually keep schtum. No point in getting into one on-line. I haven't the strength these days!

PlumBumMum · 08/06/2009 17:32

Like a troll or someone who is abit OTT

FabulousBakerGirl · 08/06/2009 17:34

not so much as taking ther piss or trolling as spinning a long line and getting a huge amount of sympathy and support.

i had my doubts the minute i read the post but as per normal on mn if you express sceptism everyone jumps in and says does it really matter as it might help someone.

posted on ur other thread FBG

southeastastra · 08/06/2009 17:35

ignore then unless you're really up to the fight

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 17:36

if you are on about a certain thread, and it reminds you of someone, then I might know what you mean, and you need to also email mnhq

Unicornvomit · 08/06/2009 17:36

there have been a fair few trolls around

either report to MNHQ or call up the OP on it, on the thread

FabulousBakerGirl · 08/06/2009 17:37

I have emailed mnhq.

not sure how people find out though.

thanks mom, i double posted by mistake.

OP posts:
CurryMaid · 08/06/2009 17:37

Did it appear on Saturday night?

MerlinsBeard · 08/06/2009 17:37

no worries, just thought you may not know youhad double posted

Unicornvomit · 08/06/2009 17:37

have you posted on the thread? <br /> can you tell us whihc one it is?

FabulousBakerGirl · 08/06/2009 17:38

lulu - calling them up will have me in the firing line I am sure.

OP posts:
CurryMaid · 08/06/2009 17:39

Oh it is that one, just seen you've posted on it.

FWIW, I first saw it yesterday - read the first page, then the last and thought

But I wouldn't intervene, personally.

psychomum5 · 08/06/2009 17:40

FBG, if it is in chat, then I have emailed too.

reminds me of a certain poster that upset me badly last year.

if it is ok, then fine, I am not posting on the thread, just emailing MNHQ and one other person who I am worried about.

daddypig · 08/06/2009 17:40

i hope this isnt about me. i really do need sympathy as i am publicly humiliated all the time. my wife and children have no respect for me and think im generally useless

CurryMaid · 08/06/2009 17:41

daddypig there was just something about your posts that didn't ring true...

FabulousBakerGirl · 08/06/2009 17:42

not about you unless you have completely changed sex, story and name.

OP posts:
Winetimeisfinetime · 08/06/2009 17:42

I have had my doubts about that thread too but thought it was just me.

It is getting lots of people very emotionally involved but my worry is if it is genuine.

I thought that thread was the most obvious bullshit from the word go.

But have been accused of troll-hunting in the past so now I keep my mouth shut.

SO similar to CVQ's early posts, slowly slowly drip-feeding and v short posts, little information, the supportive posters filling in the gaps

Winetimeisfinetime · 08/06/2009 17:46

Yes that drip, drip posting - saying so very little and getting maximum response is what made me doubt it.

FabulousBakerGirl · 08/06/2009 17:46

I think there needs to be something we can do when we have serious doubst about a thread as if you dare to say anything, people get up in arms and say what does it matter, don't post if you don't want etc etc, but it isn't how things should be.
