To think mumsnet should explain why Gaza threads keep getting deleted?

No explanation and nothings been said that was antisemetic or broke guidelines. I’d really like to know why whole discussions are being deleted on a globally important topic instead of individual posts being deleted. Some of us care deeply about this topic and would like to see it being discussed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is on its 27th thread. Why can’t we discuss this topic when everyone is being civil and exchanging views.

Mumsnet HQ need to be transparent over their moderation with detailed guidelines and right of Appeal and justifications publicly given.

MNHQ has picked up 2 threads on Gaza and deleted them within hours so I’m sure they will pick this one up.

Nope. They’ll only pick it up if it’s reported to them. Whereas they do read Site Stuff.

I want to discuss them on AIBU. If they want to move them, then move them, but why delete whole threads when people are having an important discussion.

Yet they never delete really offensive threads on autism riddled with reported posts.

But why do you want to discuss them specifically in AIBU instead of for example News

Maybe your comment which states that there is no evidence of any rapes taking place on October 7 might have something to do with one of the threads you are presumably referring to. It might make them wonder about the motivations of the person starting the thread.

Genocide is happening in Gaza seems a lot of folk don’t want to read and acknowledge that. Sorry OP if this comment leads to your thread being removed!

And calling people fascists in the title might be another clue.

Because I think it’s important to discuss cancellation and silencing as it relates to complicity in ethnic cleansing and g***. Because whole threads being deleted doesn’t make sense, I posted the last thread and I am not a troll, neither were the people engaging.

Surely not an insignificant topic to want to discuss openly.

When 82% of a society want to ethnically cleanse a native people, and 66% regard them as animals (amalek who were genocided in the bible), and 47% want every man, woman and child killed in the conquered cities ie Gaza. How can we describe such a society? It’s one of many legitimate opinions.

But again, why not post in news/chat/politics. Why do you specifically want to post in AIBU.

You can always email mnhq and ask why they're deleting your threads. Ive done this and always got a clear reply.

Because the lack of concern for a publicly stated ethnic cleansing program and I want to know how widespread this is. I want to hear people’s opinions.
