It's happened about 9 times today and 3 times yesterday. SO annoying !!! Please fix it

Constantly happens to me. Every time I’m on the site since the update. Maddening.

Inthesameboatatmo · 17/06/2022 16:16

Not just you. It's driving me nuts tbh.

LilyMumsnet · 17/06/2022 20:18

Hi folks

Can you let us know what devices and browsers you're using and can anyone grab a video of this happening and send it over to [email protected]?

We're really keen to find out what's going on here.

yellowbananasinjuly · 17/06/2022 22:00

Im using Chrome on a MacBook Air. Scrolling down the page it just suddenly dies and you get an oops page with a reload button. It happened twice when I was posting a message too.

Safari on iPhone. It’s been happening since the update.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 18/06/2022 08:36

Safari here too. Typed out a reply and the page crashed, froze then refreshed and I lost my reply.

yellowbananasinjuly · 18/06/2022 13:15

I've sent you a photo of the page you are redirected to

I get an out of memory error on every single page if I leave them too long or just don't read fast enough.
Have to refresh the stupid page & then it loses my place.
Sometimes by the time I've scrolled down to find where I'd got to, it does the out of memory error again.
It happens whichever browser I use & regardless of whether it's the only page open with nothing else running on my laptop.

Sometimes it happens within a minute, other times not for a few minutes & it's intensely frustrating.

Datun · 20/06/2022 13:34

Same here. iPhone 13, Chrome.

It will just refresh itself, as it were. And whilst, when I'm reading a thread that's not such a drama, when I'm in the middle of writing a post, I lose the whole thing.

i'm having to select and copy my post as I'm writing it, every few lines, in case the thread refreshes its self and I'm back to square one.

FlissMumsnet · 20/06/2022 15:12

Hi yellowbananasinjuly,

Have you sent it to us at Contact us? Thanks very much, we'll take a look.

DinosaursEatMan thanks for the details - any chance you can send us a screenshot too or video....

Yewtown · 26/06/2022 12:13

Happening here too. App works fine on ipad but crashes on huawei p20. Seems to be when new content is added to a thread. It has become almost impossible to use.

PansyPetunia · 26/06/2022 15:00

The video issue (opening to blank video page) keeps happening

Think I'll be leaving mumsnet the site is unusable and no longer appealing

It's been going on weeks, we've been patient.....

PansyPetunia · 26/06/2022 17:53

Just happened again! On my break at work wanted to 'escape' for a bit

Is it too much to ask? Is it happening to the premium paid up members I wonder!

pastaandpesto · 26/06/2022 17:59

Yep it happens to me all the time. Android /Chrome.

I find if I minimise the window than maximise it again it sometimes helps but it's incredibly annoying. I suspect it is something to do with the ads because the page seems to load up to the first ad and then nothing after.

MoltenLasagne · 26/06/2022 20:56

Happening all the time here too, both on Android Chrome and on Windows laptop. Constantly getting the aw snap message.

HebeMumsnet · 27/06/2022 10:07

Morning, everyone. Sorry to hear this is still an issue. We think this is a memory leak and we're trying to track it down now. We'll let everyone know when there's an update.

RosalindsAFuckingNightmare · 27/06/2022 17:14

It's happening to me too. Keeps saying out of memory.
Having said that, my laptop is struggling and I think it is MN that is causing it.

Once we've identified a fix we will check in and see if the issue is resolved.
In the meantime, we're really sorry for the inconvenience. Flowers

PansyPetunia · 27/06/2022 18:27

these are not 'memory leaks'

separate issues....and a leak of any sort is worrying. i've been here long enough to remember having all our passwords published for the entire world to see!

JuneJubilee · 27/06/2022 18:28

iPhone safari

constantly.

Allicando · 27/06/2022 19:34

So glad it isnt just me. I am on chrome via a Macbook and constantly getting thrown off the site with error code 5. Never had a problem until yesterday.

We're sorry about this - we definitely don't want to lose you.
Can we check - is this IOS or android? Can we have a screenshot of the error message? As much information as possible would be a really big help in us locating and fixing the issue. Flowers

PansyPetunia · 28/06/2022 00:30

Video opens on iPhone

Storage message on MacBook

Getoff · 28/06/2022 09:04

I've twice today had a post wiped out in mid-composition by the page reloading/crashing. Using Chrome on Windows 11.
