Mumsnet Talk re-platforming - Known issues update

Hi all,
As you probably know we re-plaftormed the site overnight on Tuesday (in order to move to a faster, more stable and secure site which would be easier to develop new features on). There are a number of issues and bugs as a result of the move that we are working through and we thought it would be a good idea to list them on a page which we can keep updated as we sort through the problems. You can find that page here.

Mumsnet is a very large, complicated and old site - we've been working on re-platforming for the best part of 3 years - so it's not a huge surprise there are some bugs but please be assured we are working our way through them will get to them all as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime I do apologise for any inconvenience and frustration - I know it's been a painful day and a half for some.

Thank you to all those who've fed back and are helping us solve the remaining issues - it's really much appreciated Flowers.

Threads moving at glacial pace, discussions just petering out ... and surveys that can't be competed, images that can't be seen ...

Ok so bookmarks sorted but now when I go to ' threads I'm on' when using the app, they are all lighter iyswim like when there's a new post added?

Ads are driving me batshit tonight. Can't scroll past them and the whole thread freezes so have to click away and come back. Then a merest brush against them and they open and take you away from the thread.

I have spent less time on here as a result.

Yup the bookmarks seem to be are working again (at least on the iOS app) but the "change of colour" of the post count, to demonstrate that there are new posts (on the app from blue to white) is kaput Sad I keep on going onto a thread, as they've gone back to white, and there are no new posts Hmm To make matters worse, it's inconsistent - works on some threads and not others Confused

Really annoying having the OP’s first post appearing in full at the top of every page & having to scroll past it every time. I’ve seen it mentioned a couple of times but not noticed a comment on it by MNHQ.

To be honest I like it, seems more modern and I think people are massively overstating how slow it is to post. Took 3 seconds.
Used to be a regular but now rarely come.
Next I would like an edit and like button

It seems such a shame that in trying to improve functionality they appear to have driven down the quality of content.

@Blondeshavemorefun - this is what it should look like. I've just looked at this thread and there are no new posts, so the number is showing as blue. The one below it, about new habits, has new posts and I've not looked at it yet, so is showing as white.

But it's not consistent Confused

As it happens, it's moved positions too so I know that there are new posts. But I can't always remember the relative positions or post counts of the threads that I'm watching Hmm

Aaah @Blondeshavemorefun - my comments specifically relate to the MN iOS app. Looks like you're either on the website (which I only ever access via the laptop which is rarely ) or the mobile site (which again, I only ever access rarely usually only if I've had notification of a PM via email ).

At least, that's why I assume as you can see "mumsnet.com" at the top of the picture you posted and I don't get that on the app.

I'm on a laptop- when I click on a bookmarked thread it takes me back to the beginning of the thread every single time.

I have also given up trying to use Mumsnet on my phone as 50% of the time I still get a 400 error when I click on a link

Why do you think it is ok to accuse people of lying? Do you not think we can count/use a clock?

It is so bad I timed it.

And talking of timing(with a real life clock) it has just taken 28 seconds for the bookmark to register. (Phone, chrome)
