I think we should all get badges.

The badges could be sorted and stored in their individual colours to make it easy to find the one that you want to use.

But no! That would be "hiding them away"/"sweeping them under the carpet". Best to just jumble them up in one big box and spend ages sorting through the whole lot every single time that you need one.

it did seem to be getting better, but yet again the scaremongers are out.

I've no idea why people seem to think these posts are going to fade away. Every time something major happens (which quite frankly is pretty much every day) it sparks off more threads.

I don't mind the rational ones, but ones talking about leaving london just in case are just scaremongering.

I have just looked at the leaving London thread.

You have to wonder what goes on in people's minds?

Have they not seen any of the news coverage?

Do they imagine that the Ukrainians are loading up their cars with newly purchased camping equipment and popping off for a nice few weeks in someone's back garden? No doubt involving plenty of marshmallows and snuggling under lovely fluffy blankets.
(Obviously after having arranged with the neighbours to pop in and water the plants/feed the fish and leaving the right money for the milkman).

It beggars belief.

My SIL, usually a reasonably level headed and rational woman, has packed an emergency bag in the boot of her car so she can leave the area quickly when they bomb the air base she lives near to. This has absolutely come on the back of reading threads on here and the frothing in the Daily Mail. It's whipped her into a frenzy.

add in everyone will be boycotting everything. what if her gas stove has some part from russia.......

Twitter is awash with sad faced people holding bottles of vodka in the supermarkets and demanding they stop selling the Russian ones immediately!! Plus whining about the spelling of Kiev on Chicken Kievs. Because this can all be achieved overnight of course.

Other British supermarkets have also stopped selling vodka that markets itself as Russian this week.

So not "Russian" vodka then - vodka that markets itself as Russian.

MN please do something about it. I've just been reading a thread full of people who are scared to the point of being suicidal.

Measured discussion is important, all that shit about "What happens if they drop a nuclear bomb on us" is not.

I’ve just tried 3 times to hide one of the threads about a bomb hitting the uk. It’s still showing on my list of threads. Im terrified about the events that are going on and have been trying to put it to the back of my mind as much as possible yet seeing these threads is making this really hard. I’m going to have to stop visiting this site as it’s too upsetting. I don’t see the point of posting these doom mongering threads anyway because if it all kicks off then the whole world is fucked anyway.

Another vote for moving these war threads to a separate section or at least out of all different sections, particularly out of chat please.
