We've discussed this and we're not going to take any action at the moment. This isn't to say that we're never going to make changes with regards to this discussion - but we're reviewing this as we go along. It's an enormous topic at the moment and it's everywhere (not just on Mumsnet). If you need to hide a thread, you can do this without even looking at the opening post. Just open it up and click the 'hide' button above the title.

We are more than happy to look at threads on a case-by-case basis so as ever, you can report to us if you have any concerns.
