MNHQ could at least have placated us with something about reassuring us that female biology terminology will NOT be changing. That Mumsnet will not play along with the game of calling breast-feeding 'chest-feeding' and that talking about our biology will never be banned as being 'not inclusive'.

Surely a statement reassuring us about that aspect of the issue could be made? Or not?

Can people PLEASE continue to use this thread for its intended purpose? It would be awful for the majority of contributors to see it deleted at this late stage.

The offense to parents thing I can't make sense of. I mean, I could take offense to a thread about breastfeeding as I couldn't breastfeed myself and hearing about people doing so easily and in public upsets me. If I claimed offense instead of being honest and saying its just personally upsetting (in a jealousy way) then could those posts be deleted? The ones that offended?

I cannot get behind something could be deleted/a member banned for POSSIBLE offence to hypothetical people?

also I need to point out, in most cases (excluding deliberate hate speech and such) offense is taken, not given. It is entirely subjective and I do feel this is now going down the route of becoming very very moderated..anyone can claim offense at anything. Someone could post a biologically correct post about trans people and a 'parent' takes offense and reports it as such. What then?

On my birth certificate it says sex: female. As a result of that biological happening I was raised in a gender that society defines as female. Fuck that shite. (I thought this from the age of about 8, just as I thought then that the religion I was raised in was a pile of horse shit.)

Isn't this their overriding "making the lives of parents easier" catch all deletion rule? I think they would delete anything vitriolic about a form of feeding even if all on the thread did the other form of feeding.

The trouble is, where one group encroaches on another, the parents of either group are potentially worried about issues (eg teenagers in changing rooms). I think MN are saying PARD won't be deleted.

I can't even think why anyone would even consider the words "it's not all about you" would be a breach of the guidelines. It's said on here all the time. It's really not all about any one person. This is so much bigger.
