As a woman with a daughter, I am horrified and terrified at the rapid demolition job being carried out on hard-won women's rights by mysogynistic men, who cannot be criticised because they have decided they are in fact women.

Transwomen are not women and transmen are not men, by any definition, and it is dangerous and damaging to both transwomen and transmen to insist we are respectively women and men.

Men can wear dresses, make-up, change their names, get boob implants etc if they so wish. Whatever makes them happy. It does not make them female.

I am brasty. I know that biology is real, and not a social construct. I don't care how anyone lives their life if it does not harm someone else. But the transgender movement is harming women and children.

I am what. I have a five-month-old daughter. If my daughter grows up and wants to "live as a man", I will support her, I will use her preferred pronoun, I will defend her against anyone who wants to hurt or embarrass her. I will do the same for anyone else I encounter in a similar situation.

I have wiped my daughter's arse enough times to know that she is female. I know what biology looks like.

My 6 year old DD wears trousers and has short hair. She is not trans. She is not gender non-conforming or any of the other bullshit made up labels. She is female, a girl, and uniquely her.

Nothing a man can do can make them a woman.

I do believe in science and biology.

If someone chooses to have a sex change hormones, surgery, etc and identify as a different gender then I would use the pronoun they prefer.

However if a bloke with a penis (and often a beard) sticks on a dress in my mind they are a bloke wearing a dress. The pronoun "they" is bollocks.

However I would never be nasty or bullying towards anyone......as I'm sure the majority of MUmsnetters wouldn't.

I don't believe that being female has anything to do with pink, make-up, dresses or high heels any more than being male has to do with guns, rugby and camouflage clothing. I don't believe that anyone can change their biological sex. There is no such thing as a female penis.

I fully support the right of people of either sex to sleep with who they like, wear what they like and choose whatever first name they like to call themselves. I don't support the right of men to infringe on the rights and privacy of women and girls.

I think anyone should be able to do or wear whatever they like- I believe gender is a bullshit social construct. I believe if a boy wants to wear a skirt and makeup he should be able to, without being told he is "in the wrong body" and needs to undergo invasive treatment.

I do not believe a man can ever become a woman. I am shocked and scared that men who think they can become women are eroding women's rights- to safe space, equality of opportunity, and free speech.

I've been off mn for years, but logging back in to say I'm smart and men are not women and this 'progressive' bullshit is taking us back 100yrs. Trans should live as they please without harassment, but men, keep the fuck out of our spaces.
