Would you like to test an early version of our Talk app?

Hello,
We've been working on a test version of a new Talk app and could do with your help putting it through it's paces.

If you have an iPhone with iOS8 (sorry no iPods, iPads or android for now) and you'd like a sneak preview then head on over to this sign up page and sign up so we can send you an invite (it doesn't have to be your Mumsnet email address just one you can access).

The app is very much a beta version and everything may not work perfectly. If you find something that's broken or think there is something missing, please let us know.

Ideally we'd like you to use the app to read and post on threads and do whatever you normally do in Talk. Please note, this version of the app is LIVE and anything you post will appear on the Mumsnet site for all to see.

At the mo this is for registered mumsnetters only so if you can't see the sign up page please check you are logged in.

The flip is indeed a wonderous thing but if I'm being picky then it would be even better you could choose a default flip. I prefer the latest post to be at the top of the thread. At the moment I have to flip every thread.

MrsWembly there will be an update to install in order to post with emoticons again, you'll receive a notification/email from Apple soon.

Sharing issue duly noted. We will have a think about what to do about that.

The Text size is much better now on my iPhone 6+

When you flip a thread that you've bookmarked, why does it not show the bookmarked post?

Post numbering all gone a bit wrong, also highlighted threads as if there are new posts (in threads I'm on section) when there's no new posts.

Also flip doesn't stay on, not a biggie for beta version but the full version needs this sorted

We seem to have had some font size bugs that need looking at (particularly with iPhone 6+ people).

If anyone is squinting at tiny text (or indeed engulfed by huge text), could you first double-check your "dynamic type" settings.

To do that, go to your iOS Settings app, then General -> Accessibility -> Larger Text.

If the slider is anywhere from the middle to the right hand side and you're still having font size issues, it'd be much appreciated if you could post your phone model and iOS version here (which you can get from Settings -> General -> About).

pixieg1rl Thanks for the feedback, and letting us know about the post numbering being off (and yes, that'll make your read/unread go haywire unfortunately). I'll see what I can do.

Great we have flip but when flip is on and you have bookmarked the last post the button you press to find the newer ones says "show older message saying" when they are the newer ones.

The font size on my IPhone 6+ is perfect. I have the dynamic text set at just above the centre point. It suits my eye sight perfectly.

I've adjusted the dynamic text on my phone to the midpoint.

Text in the reply screen is still really tiny and now I've got enormous text on other apps which I don't want - I liked it large on just MN as it is text based.
