Would you like to test an early version of our Talk app?

Hello,
We've been working on a test version of a new Talk app and could do with your help putting it through it's paces.

If you have an iPhone with iOS8 (sorry no iPods, iPads or android for now) and you'd like a sneak preview then head on over to this sign up page and sign up so we can send you an invite (it doesn't have to be your Mumsnet email address just one you can access).

The app is very much a beta version and everything may not work perfectly. If you find something that's broken or think there is something missing, please let us know.

Ideally we'd like you to use the app to read and post on threads and do whatever you normally do in Talk. Please note, this version of the app is LIVE and anything you post will appear on the Mumsnet site for all to see.

At the mo this is for registered mumsnetters only so if you can't see the sign up page please check you are logged in.

Hope the new app is going to let us see pictures and sort out the posting thing on iPhones where the keyboard covers the space you're typing!

Sounds interesting, I've signed up

ShamTech and PeteTech were posting images on the thread just down a bit and I think they were pre-testing the App - so every chance I reckon.

If you slipped up and gave them eg a misspelled email address, why not drop MNHQ an explanatory note at [email protected] - they might be able to assist on that one.

PS - thinking about it, it might be best to re-link, put in the correct details and re-send it if it will let you. (You only need to ask them to disregard the first one then.)

I actually got the sign up page on ios8 on the ipad as well as on the laptop. (Not an iphone, though.)

You need to already be logged in through your browser for the link to work, otherwise it just defaults to the MN homepage.

Can you clarify please that if you sign up using your usual email address then anything you post with the app will display your username, and not your email address?
