Hi all,

As you know we have launched the new mobile site, we know it's a big change and we are still very keen to get it right with your help. This is very much a version that will evolve with your help as part of the testing process.

There have been a few glitches that have/are being ironed out and the HUGE thread has nearly maxed out, so we thought it best to start a shiny new one.

We know change is tricky but, as with most things MN, we are all ears and happy to look at any feedback you have on ways we can improve the new site.

MrsVamos yes I think it will be the kick I needed to reduce my posting on the site. May go back to just looking at desktop occasionally as a lurker as I used to do years ago before my smartphone. A real shame though :(

I'm logged in and posting fine - even used the mobile site to NC this morning (unrelated to mobile site change I might add - recognised a RL someone on a thread!) but no bookmark option for me!

Ooh flip thread is on the little roundy arrow now I've braved the mobile site again - well done tech

Lots of people are struggling to bookmark, it may be due to changes Tech are making.

See in the bottom right hand corner of post, 3 dots ?

If you click on those you should get the bookmark option to come up, along with report, pm etc... ?

If not can only advise trying later.

On desktop, if you hover near bottom right hand corner of post, 'bookmark' should come up in a little blue oval kinda shape ? Then just click or press it to bookmark page to that post.

MrsVamos - You have to be on the actual thread I think. Just looked and when on the arrow option thingy it says something like add to ai'm watching so I'm assuming you'd be able to unwatch. Unless they cocked that up too...

Kab - me too! Even with the hide option they've gave us; it doesn't work. Urgh.

I reduced the time I was on mn as I hate being stuck on the laptop, got a newish mobile (first new one in 10 years) and now I'm back doing that ! Good job I had no plans for today !

I loved being able to have a quick read of threads on old site, or post quickly while out and about, or just when I fancied it.

Now, I feel stuck, like I have to plan time to MN.

Don't get me wrong, I love this place, and most of my fellow mnetters, but I just don't usually have the time to devote being here on the laptop.

Mobile mnetting was my dream solution.

Same here, MrsVamos. With 6 little ones, I have no time to sit and spend time on the laptop. Most all my posts are posted by mobile due to it being easy and quicker. I could type when bf or even on the loo!

Just an update to say we've found the problem some of you are experiencing with slow loading of a page of 500 or 1000 messages on certain devices. We are working on the fix and will let you know later. Thanks

Yes, it still is too glary, it makes me feel ill.

I love it! so much better than the old mobile site ( which I hardly ever used ) the new site is a lot easier to use & seems a lot more 'up to date' & modern.

Wow... my kids have been watching Lion King on rerun far too long, because I'm quoting it!

I don't have a 'bookmark' option when I click the three dots (just reply, top, report, PM, profile) and I am definitely logged in. Using android default browser on a Samsung S3 if that makes a difference.

On the loo, yep, I know that one,MultipleMama !

BF not so much. But my DCs are 15 and 10 years old !

I also can't bookmark - the option just isn't in my drop-down menu.
Also, the pictures are unviewable on my 8 inch Samsung Galaxy tablet. They do now pop out if I touch them, however they only go to about 1x1.5 inch, which is still too small. If I zoom in, the pictures disappear off the bottom of the screen.

Although I'm not a stage where I can have peace in the loo room yet due to my DC's ages. Dammit! I long to pee in peace --TMI-

I can't pee in peace because the dog or 1 of 3 cats follows me. I also sometimes forget my loo and bathroom doors do have a lock.

The floating ad banner which keeps changing is doing my head in all by itself & I don't have any health/reading issues...

I can Watch a thread but no options to unwatch or bookmark.

Thanks MrsVam - just turned laptop on to check and doesn't work on desktop site in either new or classic view, never has done for me - must be OS related I suppose. Still not working on new mobile site either, there's just not a bookmark option there when I click on the dots. I am on an iphone, no idea whether that is relevant. Still, the drop down smileys are nice

I have a horrible feeling that the desktop and app are going to be made to look the same as the new mobile site.

This can be the only explanation as to why it looks so different.

I predict a re-branding/overhaul - whatever you want to call it - over the next few months.
