Hi all,

As you know we have launched the new mobile site, we know it's a big change and we are still very keen to get it right with your help. This is very much a version that will evolve with your help as part of the testing process.

There have been a few glitches that have/are being ironed out and the HUGE thread has nearly maxed out, so we thought it best to start a shiny new one.

We know change is tricky but, as with most things MN, we are all ears and happy to look at any feedback you have on ways we can improve the new site.

My feedback from earlier on, with phone model and updates!

Samsung galaxy mini. Browser... I don't know - just an icon with the word "Internet"

I was quite positive at first but after a few days these issues:

pages slow to load and keep closing as unresponsive

the three dots under each post, when it brings up the options I can't use them seems to be ok now!

not able to reply using the box at the bottom this morning ditto!

• really don't like only being able to see a few posts at once. I've used it a lot less over the last few days as it makes scanning and browsing the discussions much more of an effort.

On the geo-location point made earlier on, ShamTech says:

'Neither Mumsnet nor its ad providers make use of the phone's geolocation facilities (gps) and this cannot be done anyway without the user's explicit permission. On sites that do request the user's location from the phone, the user is first asked (in a popup) if they want to allow this so that the location is not revealed to the site without the user's knowledge. The site is not able to bypass this security measure - it is part of the phone operating system and browser.

The ad providers use the IP to do a broad geolocation but that has absolutely zero relation to the device and battery life.'

And no bookmark option under the three dots on the galaxy mini.

There do seem to be some compatibility problems with Galaxy Aces and Nokia Lumia phones. It's on our list. Apologies

Thanks for the TIO change but now I can only access a TIO through pressing a recent post, so I can't press the title and go to my bookmark (having only just yesterday enabled bookmarks). On old mobile site from TIO you could either go to a topic, go to a thread, or go to a recent post.

right, since I changed to 1000 posts at once, it's taking me way back in the thread and taking aaaaaages to load.

Just a suggestion

What about a formal feedback function where people can submit specific issues by selection / drop down, including make, OS, browser etc. So you can easily pick out the functional issues from the look & feel type of feedback.

Also, a list of "popular" issues and the status towards resolution so that you don't keep getting complaints about the same thing.

Anyway - have a good weekend!

TIO has gone weird. iPhone 5c iOS 7.1.2. Safari.
It was just listing the threads I'm on & I could access the thread by clicking on the title. Now it's showing the thread title & previews of the last 5 posts, most recent at the top. I can't read the post by clicking on the thread title, I have to click on on of the last posts. And it doesn't go to my bookmarked post, it goes to the last post of the thread.

Oops. That was a classic RTFT wasn't it? I see my issue has already been raised.

All good ideas! When we start the third thread we'll try to add in a rolling list of where we are with things.

Mine has suddenly decide to say ALL the messages instead of pages - I didn't even change any settings for this to happen!

And it seems it's only doing it on the mobile site... and just when everything was sorted and I was happy.

Ads that flicker or move we're trying to find out if we can block these pre-emptively but for now please report them (mention the brand name or include a screenshot please)

Don't like having to double-tap to get to Active Convos or to reply please keep the feedback coming

Adding top/bottom of page shortcut buttons please keep the feedback coming, but you can navigate to the top of the page via the ellipses/three dots menu at the bottom right of each post

no 'All posts on one page' button please keep the feedback coming, but you can do this via customise under the sub-menu. (NB you must be logged in to see the sub-menu: it's under the downward-pointing chevron under the three main icons in the top right of the page)

No notification that PMs have been sent low priority but on our list

Picture issues will try to look at next week

'Go To [page]' doesn't work is this still an issue?

Jumpy switch between portrait and landscape on iOS devices is on our list

No option to turn off social media sharing buttons is on our list

Galaxy Ace and Nokia Lumia compatibility problems will try to look at this early next week

Threads aren't in pages, just one long page and bookmarks aren't working.
