Hands up everyone who wants to try out the BRAND NEW MUMSNET MOBILE SITE

Hello comrades

As lots of you will know, we've been developing a brand new, souped up version of the Mumsnet mobile site for seven geological eras quite a long time now.

We can now exclusively reveal that the new mobile site is... TOTALLY AND UTTERLY ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, LIKE, ANY TIME NOW.

We've tested it on loads of MNers ( to those who have helped out) but inevitably there will be glitches that only reveal themselves once tens of thousands of you dive in and start using it - so please use this thread to let us know about those (with the usual info about browsers and devices).

And if you like it, please pass along and to ShamTech, BrunoTech, JessicaMumsnet and all the other techs and MHQers who have been working their digits off on this.

The new improved apps are coming, honest... but in the meantime, if the old apps are driving you bonkers, do please take the new mobile site for a test drive.

Hmm, I think complimentary gin may be needed. Served by a scantily clad Bear Grylls or Steve Backshall.

Definitely more prosecco needed so assuage the disappointment.

Actually done things I quite like. The hide thread in the Active Cocos list has gone (which I kept accidentally hitting). I like the ellipsis where the bookmark link was that gives all the options. The page looks more sparse now, but that just needs getting used to.

What I don't like is that highlight original poster is gone. Also the floating blue bar is very jerky and keeps getting stuck in the middle of the screen over text I'm trying to read. Not sure what the the circles at the top and below the reply box are for, they don't appear to do anything.

I'll let you know if I have any other complaints thoughts as they come up!

I've come in via the app to report that I can't post on the mobile site - the post button goes orange but nothing happens (iPhone on Safari), other than that it looks exactly the same

Really sorry folks - Tech have hit a glitch. Each time they try to release (which may explain why you've caught a glimpse, beehatch?) something is causing it to Not Work.

It may be best for you to quietly disperse until we've sorted this out.

It is intermittently posting my thoughts, not all of them, which is no bad thing!

I do feel the urge to run down the echoing halls of new MN mobile wreaking havoc with all the techy glitches! Sadly my kids are calling me away to a cerulean pool to swim now the sun has cooled off. I will have to prove my dedication to the cause later . . .

It's appalling. The page keeps refreshing interminably for no reason, I can't post from the mobile site at all (just the refresh wheel constantly) but the biggest fail is the lack of clicking straight to the lat posted message from threads I'm on. I hate this. I don't want to have to bookmark every thread nor click add message every time to get to the bottom. Plus I like to see the last couple of messages, often you can see from their tone whether anything interesting had happened or the OP has returned. The way it is now will make me lose interest pdq.

Is there a new app too? I am fed up of the app. Especially no photos visible in threads rendering them meaningless, and the lack of ability to name change. I only ever use a tablet these days.

I clicked 'back' and it's now back to how it was... I don't like the bar thing at the bottom with 'active', 'watching' and what not but in sure I'll get used to it!
