Hands up everyone who wants to try out the BRAND NEW MUMSNET MOBILE SITE

Hello comrades

As lots of you will know, we've been developing a brand new, souped up version of the Mumsnet mobile site for seven geological eras quite a long time now.

We can now exclusively reveal that the new mobile site is... TOTALLY AND UTTERLY ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, LIKE, ANY TIME NOW.

We've tested it on loads of MNers ( to those who have helped out) but inevitably there will be glitches that only reveal themselves once tens of thousands of you dive in and start using it - so please use this thread to let us know about those (with the usual info about browsers and devices).

And if you like it, please pass along and to ShamTech, BrunoTech, JessicaMumsnet and all the other techs and MHQers who have been working their digits off on this.

The new improved apps are coming, honest... but in the meantime, if the old apps are driving you bonkers, do please take the new mobile site for a test drive.

I was just coming on to say how do I highlight OPs posts, but Toby beat me too it.

One of the things that annoyed me on the test site (while using an iPhone) is that when you're scrolling down, the iPhone menu bar appears at the top, but when you're scrolling back up it disappears. It means the page kind of jumps up and down. It doesn't happen on other web pages.

Don't like the silly bookmarking either.

Why does it whizz you back to the top of the thread ?

Why isn't OPs posts highlighted anymore? It's a bit jerky as the whole thread moves from side to side as I scroll down, why??

And sorry but I know I'm complaining now but it's actually quite useful having the OP stickies at the top, probably not with the new design because the space it would take up is mahoosive. But if you want to reread the OP you have to go all the way back to the beginning.

First impressions are just that I am a bit freaked out. The only thing I really can't adjust to is having to scroll to the bottom of the page to move page. I often use ridiculously slow connections so am not happy at having to wait for the whole page to load to skip to the end of the thread.

Otherwise, I am fairly neutral.

It is going to take some getting used to.

I like Marmite. Maybe this is a bit like marmite, love it or hate it.

Like the instant emoticons, nice touch. All the new buttons are easy and fancy to use.... Just don't like the all white-ness

Well I suppose I could get used to it, but when I bookmark a post it takes me back up to the top, that and the fact that the ops post aren't highlighted anymore make it much harder work.

If you were going to "fix" the site - why didnt you at least make pics clickable?

I can see my own posts highlighted but not the OPs anymore.

I like the feel if it fyi, just not good to use - not enough content for my screen

It's a but silly having the Active Convos button right on top of the iPhone back button... I'm going back to using the shitty app.

The option is still there to highlight OPs posts

Click wee down arrow at top right of page -> click customise -> tick appropriate box
