Hands up everyone who wants to try out the BRAND NEW MUMSNET MOBILE SITE

Hello comrades

As lots of you will know, we've been developing a brand new, souped up version of the Mumsnet mobile site for seven geological eras quite a long time now.

We can now exclusively reveal that the new mobile site is... TOTALLY AND UTTERLY ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, LIKE, ANY TIME NOW.

We've tested it on loads of MNers ( to those who have helped out) but inevitably there will be glitches that only reveal themselves once tens of thousands of you dive in and start using it - so please use this thread to let us know about those (with the usual info about browsers and devices).

And if you like it, please pass along and to ShamTech, BrunoTech, JessicaMumsnet and all the other techs and MHQers who have been working their digits off on this.

The new improved apps are coming, honest... but in the meantime, if the old apps are driving you bonkers, do please take the new mobile site for a test drive.

As much as a would love to see my TARDIS doodle become an official MN emoticon, the proper one will be coming soon although mine is obvs better

This new mobile site, is it possible to mark my place on a thread? ie, to get the thread to go to the last post I read rather than to the beginning each time I read it? It's quite annoying to have to scroll through pages & pages of posts each time.

I like the customisable gif of Ryan Gosling saying 'great post' before smiling slowly.

Bookmarking will be a function IIRC...

You can currently bookmark threads (you may need to turn it on in customise somewhere)

What differences are we supposed to see? It looks the same on my ipad with safari and laptop with firefox - the same as it has always looked that is.

It's coming, apologies - some Tech based issues that they are sorting now. We will post as soon as it's live.

Noooooo it's not a wind-up honest. (Obviously we don't really have auto gin-dispensers etc.) Really sorry about the delay - Tech say they're nearly there.
