i dont think i was part of any previous discussion on this matter but can i just say..."WHAT"???
just because someone expresses their opinion sarcastic or otherwise, it does not mean everyone believes and then lives by that comment nor does it mean such a wonderful website should cease because somebody didnt like what they heard.
how many of us have flounced before?..i have but thats as far as i took it..ive been accused of being many things but that doesnt mean i 'AM' any of them?!

and for such people who embrace children and childcare in their proffesionand life, why would flash in the pan comments and jokey banter amongst' friends' mean that the lifeline that is mumsnet should close down completely leaving many mums(and dads) without any form of support on issues which have nothing to do with methods of bringing up children?..depression, going back to work, recipies, travel and so on...so many important and not so important isssues that we have been able to work through together.
it beggers belief and i didnt actually think what i have read was serious.

When I was little I was always sent to get the Sunday papers, and also used to get them for a neighbour. His usual read was The Sunday Mirror, but it was sold out, as were all the other tabloids, so I got him The Sunday Telegraph. He complained to my Mum that it took him 2 weeks to read it .
