If Fathers for Justice invade again

will they still be welcome?

I'm referring to the thread in the Feminism/Women's Rights section -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/a1419965-Agenda-much

where Justine said:

"an invasion - ie let's go on and tell those mumsnetters why they've got it all wrong - isn't necessarily the same as trolling tbh (ie deliberately misleading/antagonising). I think we ought to be able to be robust enough to be able to debate the issue, with the caveat, of course, that if visitors turn out merely to be here to wind up or hear to spread hatred then they are not welcome"

It appears that as long as they promote their agenda in PARD then no harm done. Is that a fair assessment?

Fabric of society being torn down all around us SAF :(

Seriously though, this is a really offensive campaign to single mothers. How dare they suggest that single mothers are not good parents. Just FTR, my sons do not feel worthless, the opposite in fact, and nor will they ever. Further to that, I really don't have a problem with my daughter growing up knowing that she does not have to remain in a relationship that is making her unhappy and that it is fully possible to raise a family as a lone parent. I am glad that all three of them will learn that all families are valid, thanks for your concern all the same.

I think your money is safe SGB.

LineRunner · 11/03/2012 22:21

Very, very safe, SGB.

SeventyTimes7 · 11/03/2012 22:28

Christ, they're now targeting M & S, because they advertise on Mumsnet. Part of a special "Mother's Day Campaign". They could have just sent a card...

BasilRathbone · 11/03/2012 22:37

I am really racking my brains here.

What about David Icke's organisation? Does he still have one?

Surely that's in the running?

Should we start a new thread? "Nominations invited etc."

LineRunner · 11/03/2012 22:41

David Icke's fairly harmless, isn't he? Turquoise and tinfoil. The scientologists can get a bit creepy, though.

NarkedPuffin · 11/03/2012 22:49

Now as well as deleting the post that correctly attributes the Justine 'quote' to an April Fools article, the individual who deals with the web page has posted, commenting 'well that says it all really doesn't it - patronising, condescending, self obsessed etc.' When she has to know that it was from an April Fool as she makes a point about it being her who deletes posts Confused. Someone might think she was deliberately misrepresenting Justine's views to encourage people to see Justine in a negative light.

I feel truly sorry for anyone who has the misfortune of dealing with these people. If that's what the organisers are like ...

And of course their site is strongly policed and would never allow 'gender hatred'.

They are Basil. She must have been the one to delete it, and then writes a big post criticising some comments that she knows are made up, including a "what would people say if my husband said etc etc etc". Deliberately misleading people.

Funny how F4J's idea of 'moderating their forum' is to delete anyone that shows the slightest disagreement to their rather warped views. [allegedly]

They accuse MN of not moderately properly [allegedly] yet MN has deleted stuff from MN regulars as well as the F4J invaders, on both sides of the argument.

Strange, we are through the looking glass.

LineRunner · 11/03/2012 23:05

How could they not realise not was an April Fool?

Token Man? 1st April? Ridiculous bloody story?

Well that's a bit awkward for them.

runningforthebusinheels · 11/03/2012 23:06

Nadine: "You what, love? Integ-what?"

runningforthebusinheels · 11/03/2012 23:07

I think it's because it's what they actually believe LineRunner

BasilRathbone · 11/03/2012 23:09

One of their posts on their silly FB page the other day talked about complaining about posts which are "disrespectful"

My eyebrows were higher than normal

LineRunner · 11/03/2012 23:10

Well, clearly so, running. There's none so desperate as those who'll grab at April straws, as me old grandpa used to say.

runningforthebusinheels · 11/03/2012 23:11

There has never been such a shining example of your grandpa's saying in the whole history of the universe Linerunner Grin

LineRunner · 11/03/2012 23:17

I will have the tee-shirts ordered forthwith. Smile

SmellsLikeTeenStrop · 11/03/2012 23:18

i give up, I can't find where they're taking the april fool joke seriously.

NarkedPuffin · 11/03/2012 23:21

I am very officious about the posts on this page and if anything people on this page are very retrained given what most have been through. Nadine

Fathers 4 Justice - The Official Campaign Organisation As many of you who once "liked" this page and can now only see but not "like" know to your cost i operate a no tolerance position on comments about women that I consider to be unacceptable. Many of our regulars will have noticed over the last 12 months that even some of our best and most regular contributors have disappeared from this page because of just one comment that I found unacceptable about a woman or on a gender line. These people I know personally and probably suffered from a moment of sheer frustration as we all do from time to time but suffered more from my use of the ban and delete button. Even pleadings from these people and Matt did not convince me to bring them back. Why? Well i can assure you that if any of you EVER post things along the lines of the things we have seen on Mumsnet then your life within F4J will end quicker than your 1st meeting with a Cafcass Officer and you and your comments wremoved annex, removed from our on-line forum if you have access to that, removed from our newsletter database and your details will be put on our black list because I will not let F4J be associated with such hatred, loathing and bile. We stand for equality and if you are not interested in equality for parents and your children the remove yourself from this page. Can Mumsnet Founder Justine say the same? Nadine
