me

compo · 09/09/2005 18:35

even worse is 'here is a photo of me' - what do you say to that? What do people want us to say 'you're gorgeous' etc etc (someone will come on now saying they like to put a face to a name)

Twiglett · 09/09/2005 18:37

oh yes hate the pictures of people

hate member profiles

won't like the parties topic on principle

basketcase · 09/09/2005 18:38

quite like looking at cute baby photos - bit nosey and sentimental I suppose.
Agree about the happy birthday messages - but then I guess it is a matter of stay away from those threads if not interested and focus on the "ooh my knickers got left behind in my boyfriend?s mum?s fridge.." threads if you want something a bit more lively IYKWIM
Has the potential for being a little cliquey and self congratulatory - if it does, just leave em alone

Twiglett - you ok? seem to be a little confrontational today... (said in a nice friendly way, not stirring one, grabbing hard hat..)

Twiglett · 09/09/2005 18:45

90 minutes of constant whinging, tantrum, tears, pleases .. need to take it out on someone .. got a problem with that basketcase

btw biggest pet hate .. people telling me to ignore threads if I don't agree with them .. shan't

OP posts:
snafsicle · 09/09/2005 18:46

funny link. Enjoyed that one, thanks again cod.
Definitely with you on the ban the dinner threads - can?t resist clicking on them and then end up spewing coffee all over my computer reading all the cordon blurgh on there.

basketcase · 09/09/2005 19:04

DD2 has just thrown up all over her sister?s bed - DD1 now screaming and DD2 crying. FFS AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH
DH shouting pitifully for help. So much for my "break" for ten minutes before bathtime....
Oh well, least I got a laugh out of this thread and link
Time to pick up my bucket and get back into the war zone......

tamum · 09/09/2005 19:15

Oh, I am so with you on this, Twig.

LadyTophamHatt · 09/09/2005 19:18

can I join this club too.

Ds1 been off school for 2 days being sick, made a miraculous recovery today just before lunch time and they had all done my head in since then.

Ds2 won't stop whinging about just about anything and everything. Everytime he goes near Ds3 he lands up getting whacked (ds3 I mean) with something.

Finally DS3 need to start talking because all the mmm's, eeee's and screaming is doing my head right in. He's scream is enough to shatter glass.

Thank F*ck it's nearly bed time.

Lonelymum · 09/09/2005 19:19

Oh you are a miserable lot. I am so nosey, I have to click on those threads just to see what people look like and what their kids look like. It tells me a lot about people I wouldn't know otherwise.

I must admit the repeated exposure of some people's children can be too much, but then no-one is forcing you to comment on them or even look at them. I tell you what, I would really spit coffee over the keyboard if one of you could have the nerve to say something unexpected to those pictures!

LadyTophamHatt · 09/09/2005 19:20

Oh and yes I agree too.

very very rarely post on photo threads.

misdee · 09/09/2005 19:20

i dont like the ones 'how often does your dh take the kdis out/change their nappies/etc' or even worse

'how often do you have sex'

LadyTophamHatt · 09/09/2005 19:21

sorry was agree with twiglet and thread title then, but with LM too now.
