What is a pervert?

I seem to recall two or three times in this bit of the board where folks have cruised by and used the word pervert, but when I have politely asked for a definition of the term/asked what they mean, the question has always been swerved. I have even been advised to google it, which to my mind seems dubious if not avoidant advice.

The term seems to be tossed around a fair bit, though usually I let it pass.

So what do the good folks of the sex board define the term as?

This is also an opportunity of course for those folks who have avoided questions to have their say and educate us.

Debating and disagreeing on a thread is not policing! It's all part and parcel of what goes on on any thread.

The pervs and the perv hunters all maybe need an eye on them yes. Report is all that is required we don't need to hear who said what repeatedly.

That analogy doesn’t work though, because - contrary to your lazy stereotypes or what you’d like to believe - many, maybe even most of us who have an issue with some aspects of this board, like sex. I love sex. I just prefer to have it with decent men who respect women’s boundaries and who don’t feel the need to hang around a parenting board to get their kicks, and I don’t think the women who might want to use this board but who are currently put off from doing so (as many have said they are whenever it’s discussed in Site Stuff) should have to run the gauntlet of that type of man either when there are so many other places online the latter could use for their jollies and nudge-nudge-wink-wink chat with strangers.

‘Regular posters’ doesn’t necessarily mean genuine. Some of them have posted pervy things and have been deleted.

@Mermaidparades There is every need for it, when there are posters who fail to report obvious perverts because they lack good judgement. This happens over and over again on this board.

It's ultimately up to MNHQ to delete and ban, but they need to have their attention drawn to suspect posts.
