Page 11 | What is a pervert?

I seem to recall two or three times in this bit of the board where folks have cruised by and used the word pervert, but when I have politely asked for a definition of the term/asked what they mean, the question has always been swerved. I have even been advised to google it, which to my mind seems dubious if not avoidant advice. The term seems to be tossed around a fair bit, though usually I let it pass. So what do the good folks of the sex board define the term as? This is also an opportunity of course for those folks who have avoided questions to have their say and educate us.

Wrong again. Not my list. You think @NewRoses has made up those things? I’ve seen quite a lot of those types of things myself and reported them, presumably others have too. Maybe ask mumsnet if you doubt them, there haas been a lot of threads and posts deleted. You really must miss A LOT if you have never seen anything pervy.

I don't get why you'd laugh at posting links to teen sex and incest porn. Especially given the trafficking of women into porn being so prevalent.

I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but I don't get what is funny about sites that link to teen sex and incest.

I certainly wouldn't ask in this section of mn for advice on sex (or at least, the sort of sex I like and enjoy with my partner(s))- there are better sites for that.

I don't think anyone has an issue with a sex topic per se. The issue is when it's become a place for sleazy chat or very dubious posts (as listed/discussed throughout this thread) or posts that are clearly made as wank fodder.

As for "links", the entire internet is linked, just as roads are (all roads lead to Rome/Bradford/tunbridge wells) so I don't see how you can damn anything for a site that may have offshoots. Otherwise Mnet would be shut down.
Teen sex? well not illegal beyond a certain age, gay or straight, though I have long had no interest in it.

I saw the link that mermaid posted. It was much talked about. It wasn’t an ‘offshoot’. One click on the home page brought up a list of ‘interests’, one of which was teen and one was incest. I think even mermaids apologised at the time and said it wasn’t appropriate. They said they didn’t realise, we’ll never know if they did or not, but they did at least admit it wasn’t appropriate, so stop trying to justify it.

I do trust this isn't some attempt to claim I'm "minimising"/excusing incest or sex with minors. For I am definitely not. Nor is anyone on here I have seen, including mermaids.

Why do you think they use the word teen OP? Who do you think they’re trying to appeal to exactly? Have you read anything on this subject, because I have, and it’s no coincidence that the people used look a lot younger than 18 even if they are 18+.

Being asked nicely to do something which will make the board better is now being scolded like a naughty child, I can see why you view being disagreed with and challenged as bullying. 🤦‍♀️ It’s quite difficult to have discussion with people like that.

Justifying this on a technicality, that some my be 18 or 19 is disturbing. The word teen is used deliberately. Men looking at teen sex are perverted. It pushes boundaries, just like the incest topic being about step siblings. Perverted.

Interesting question…I guess it does come down to the individual. For example, some people might think anal sex is “perverted” (I don’t, it’s just not for me) or some might think anything other than missionary with the lights off is for “perverts”. Really what I, or anyone else describes as a pervert will differ.

Have you read the whole thread? Many examples of perversion have been made, and child sexual abuse, bestiality and various other things have been suggested.

I am pretty sure that the majority of people (including me) would not consider anal sex (with consent) to be perverted.
