How common is it for men to like giving oral to women?

I’ve slept with three men. None of them have even tried to give me oral. One said he had with a previous partner and didn’t like it. The others didn’t even try. Am I unlucky or is this normal? Well I know it’s not normal, but is this wildly out of the norm or only slightly out of the norm?

And for the men answering, I kind of think you will skew to the ‘yes I love it’ side, but you’re already showing your interest by being on this forum. So how about other men you know? Do they like it?

Women - what shall I do? I kind of feel it’s becoming a dealbreaker. With current (fairly new) man I’ve mentioned it a couple of times briefly, out of the bedroom. I feel like I don’t want to ask in bed as maybe he doesn’t want to (fair enough) and I’d rather a man wanted to do it, and asked ME rather than me asking HIM.

I didn’t experience oral until my early 30’s but always gave my male partners oral in the past, it’s unfortunate I missed out for many years. I really enjoy it and I wouldn’t want to be with a man who wasn’t happy to give. Oral before PIV ensures I will climax and it makes PIV feel much better for me.

Agree, the men who didn’t give were happy to have their orgasm but weren’t concerned about myn. I am now open enough to express my needs.

I’ve read the other post on oral sex in the Relationships board (I think). I’m going to be more proactive about it from now on. I’m hearing there are quite a few women who don’t like it but I’d like the chance to work out if I’m one of those women or not.

At the moment I just can’t get past the thought that somehow I’ve been cheated out of this experience so I need to pursue it for my own sake.

Always thought that it was a normal part of sex. Trimmed or shaved is better as the hair goes up your nose and makes your eyes water. I think about 95% of our sex involves it at some point.

However, I can imagine some men wouldn't consider it. They are just a little selfish.

I have a v limited experience of receiving oral sex from 3 out of the 10 men that I've had sex with....Bored with no. 1 as he wasn't terribly good at it (think delicate no pressure licking of an icecream on a cold day). I am not sure he enjoyed it because he didn't do it very often.

No. 2 did it maybe once or twice and I have no recollection of it (think eating a vanilla icecream because you have to because it was expensive by the beach and it's what you do on a day out by the beach) We had an oral sex stand off then as he wouldn't go down on me so I wouldn't go down on him. Honestly, I do find most men love doing this. It’s very pleasurable so I guess that turns them on a lot..? I might just be lucky, but my DH just loves it. I honestly think you’re unlucky to find men no wanting to do it more, it’s very desired by most.

Most men luv it but I have never enjoyed it much. Now not at all all since the menopause. It irritates and stings. Apparently 1 in 2 finds this post menopause.

Men assume we enjoy it but it was not ever a pleasure for me.

I'd say your experience is unusual/unlucky!
I've slept with 7 men, mixture of LT relationships and one night only- different to ONS but still only one offs- and they've all been eager to get down there.
I can see why you wouldn't want to ask directly for it if you're not sure how current partner feels about it.. so the best approach would probably be to find out his thoughts on it. Maybe as part of a wider conversation on likes/dislikes?

I've been with 9 guys and only one has expressed enthusiasm for giving me oral, 1 would do it if pushed but as I am not that bothered he didn't push and the rest either never offered or were basically not keen. So I guess in my case a roughly 20% hit rate for cunnilingus!

At the end of the day, nobody can deliver like another woman. It’s a case of full understanding about how the (female) body works.

I think that’s quite a bold statement TBH, the women I’m currently seeing has told me that she has previously been with another woman & didn’t like the smell, texture or taste of another woman and didn’t enjoy it all , so she probably gave a pretty crappy experience

I definitely wouldn’t want a woman to give it to me but that’s because I have absolutely zero interest in them. My husband knows exactly what he’s doing and I can’t see a woman doing it any better.

Hmm maybe. I with with a woman before I met my husband and she definitely did things to me with her mouth that I had never experienced in the usual way. But by that logic she'd have been the best at other stuff too and she wasn't so maybe not. And no one satisfies me like my husband because we've been together a few years now and he knows what I need.

I would say about 80% of the men I've slept with have been enthusiastic about going down on me. Its definitely been an overwhelming majority. I've slept with between 20-25 men.

If plenty of women wouldn’t do it to another woman, on that basis alone, how would they know a man was better?
How would a straight man know another man couldn’t give a better BJ, if he’s only had women sucking his penis?
