It’s fucking grim. If I wanted to read FHM I’d go out and buy a copy.

I thought I’d hidden the topic earlier - but there it is, littering up Active.

I’m a good few years in from passing a copy of Mizz around the bike sheds - it’s all so sleazy.

I don’t know if it’s changed responses as I never hung out there, but I can imagine that it will have changed the tone, yes, as you’ll inevitably get replies from people who think what’s being discussed is not their cup of tea.

I think it's grim too and I'm not averse to browsing the sex topic now and again. But I didn't need to see a thread title that someone had bought their "lucky" dp a fleshlight today.

Honestly, the only blessing of the "sex" topic was it made some of the men go and lurk in that little creepy hole instead of constantly being sleazy on normal thread topics.

(Ironically when it started I was in favour and thought it might even be great to have a female-based community forum around sex talk. But I was very quickly disillusioned!)

And that was even when you had to be registered for 3 months or something in order to see it

I tried the app ages ago and couldn’t get on with it.

You can hide threads and posts if you access it via Google or Firefox or whatever though.

I have it today for the first time, I read one thread and it was all men talking about sex toys, not what I want or expect. I gave it hidden but it's there bold as brass

There's a thread on site stuff asking for it to be removed from active again and they've said they'll send the feedback further up the food chain.

They said it's because they didn't want parts if the site to be excluded or something like that.

I can't see how to hide the sec topic in the app and when I last checked the site stuff thread MNHQ hadn't answered the many people asking how to do so.

It's not for me, I'd rather not have rimming and squirting titles appear in my active feed but those who want to discuss bumhole licking and squirting would have a better convo if those titles weren't being put into everyone's feeds for people to mindlessly click and comment opinions.

Yep 90 days when it started 8 years ago. Not sure when it changed to 7 days, very recently I think.

I imagine the sex topic is just full of men pretending to be women getting each other worked up thinking they are talking to actual women.

And yet they have, for at least as long as I've been on here - so at least 10-12 years.

Half of the thrill, I'm sure, is doing something they know isn't welcomed.

I think the poor men on here are not happy that the rest of MN give a more balanced view and it's not all simpering women saying how great their input is.
