Sure we broke the law today but how serious would it be if we had been caught?

DH and I have a fairly active sex life, usually have sex around 3 times a week although lately it has been more often. When we were younger (46 and 42 now) we were more adventurous, lots of dressing up, toys and DH used to love filming me which I'm not into anymore. He's quite an exhibitionist and I suppose I am too.

Whenever we go to the cinema he loves to touch me and the last few times we've gone we've ended up masturbating each other and we've both came. I should add at this point that it's usually at least a certificate 15 film so there are no young kids around. We also tend to go to the early afternoon shows which aren't so busy do I'm not sitting next to anyone at the time.

I can't deny that I get really turned on but have worried recently about the prospect of being caught and the police being involved. We both work with vulnerable groups and have been disclosure checked for our jobs so any criminal charge of a sexual nature would be very serious. DH isn't worried but I am.

We don't openly touch one another so that it's obvious. No flashing at strangers 😀

Being I hope this thread is a wind up because surely nobody would be so grim in a cinema. If i saw that going on Id get on my phone straight away to report indecency in a public place. I go to the cinema to watch a film not skanky folk fumbling each other.

Because it's kind of like a reverse thread...they are enjoying reading the shocked and disgusted comments from posters...it's probably egging them on.

Even if you don't get officially caught op, chances are you could be recorded and your act posted on a voyeur type website.

I told my ds (works in a big cinema) about this, he wasn't shocked, in fact the majority of their cctv watching time is catching dirty feckers like this. They get removed (flashlight job), photo taken and banned from the chain. If it's really bad, then they call the police.

A few years ago then 15 year old DD was waking to school on her usual route. As she passed a row of houses, she noticed a man in one of the windows in full view of the street, wanking. She made it to school where both myself and the police were called. She was in a terrible state when I arrived, but agreed to drive past the houses with the police so she could point out the house in question. Unbelievably, as the police car passed with us in it, the man was still at it (this was several hours later).

He was arrested, had his computer equipment seized, and was later charged. DD was off school for a week she was so badly shaken, and had to walk to school another - much longer - route when she went back so as to avoid his house.

Ophelia- I've seen my fair share of flashers plus my experience in the cinema I mentioned earlier ( think I must've been really, really unlucky ) As an adult I experienced the same thing as your daughter, I told my husband who insisted we reported it to the police, they basically said he can do what he likes in his own home. I'm glad your daughter's complaint was taken more seriously.

If I caught someone doing this with children in the vicinity, the police would be the least of their problems. It's grim, seedy and pretty sad too that you need to do this to get your rocks off.

Perhaps go to the cinema separately. The smell when you leave would not be nice assuming fluids end up in your underwear. No sympathy if you got caught.

Don't most big cinemas have cctv inside the auditorium that is shown on a screen where the ushers' desk is, or is that just my local Odeon?

Well, I really meant the former, but thinking about it, the latter too boogers. It's been a long time now and surely all that has to be said has been. These sorts of thread can get a bit of "everyone getting their kick in" long, long after the op has vanished. (Perhaps because people don't visit the sex topic that often so posts near the top are assumed to be current?)

I don't think it misrepresented it at all.

I don't think the article did misrepresent the thread actually, apart from the headline possibly giving the suggestion that we have had full blown sex in the cinema which is not the case.

I'm still a big flabbergasted that it's in the Independent but must have been a slow news day.
