Morning all. For those that applied to spgs did you check into your open apply account to see if the status had been updated? Mine was yesterday you might found it before the email comes!

@Lolakath19 a few schools use those accounts. What changes on the portal to indicate an offer? Curious as I've been checking mine for another school.

On the dashboard page you can see the status of application for example applied and then the date sept 28 (shows last time it has been updated). It can move to declined / offered

Last year some people were able to find out before email were out for a few schools..

Morning, I just wondered if anyone knew of DC getting invited for an academic interview at Emanuel? On their website under changes to the application process it sounds as though some students were going to be offered an academic interview that included not only the group activity but also an meeting with staff from the English and Maths Dept. I just haven’t heard of any DC going through this scholarship process so wondered if it was only for a very small number of DC?

Should they be lucky enough to be holding multiple offers by the end of all this, is there anyone who anticipates real difficulty deciding between schools? We have applied to a mixed bag (all have pros which would suit our son - and cons, of course - no perfect schools!) so it feels like we’re comparing apples with pears. I’m going to need to get a spreadsheet going, I think.

Also it does say 'subject to availability' so I assume this is the exploding offers we heard about from last year.

Are there any other exploding offer clauses in offer packs this year? Well done everyone, I've enjoyed following all of your journeys. I'm getting set to do it all again next year.

@winetime123 We have heard from 2 of our schools and there is no 'exploding offer' clause in the offers from either of them. So I think that it is really on a case-by-case basis and highlights the importance of, beyond the natural excitement, reading all the relevant information with care.
