Wishing everyone the best for tomorrow and no matter what happen we need to remember that it is just a step in our DC education :) it does not define who they will be and where they will end up! so even if we don't end up with our first choice our second... there are still opportunities to move schools etc!

momomamiko · 09/02/2023 20:15

This thread has been a major help and support for me in making it through so far.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

SWLParent · 09/02/2023 20:20

Wishing everyone the best of luck! There is a big bigger picture to this, and I hope we can bear that in mind! Our DCs have worked hard and that in itself already shows that they are successful!

Good luck everyone! I am having some wine and can't believe finally tomorrow we will find out!

bjmin · 09/02/2023 20:42

@QuiteAJourney we are nearly at the 1,000 mark. Given tomorrow is going to be extremely busy, is it worth starting a new one this evening? Thanks for keeping the threat going.

I am about the least threatening person you can imagine...

Good that we can still laugh (in a slightly panicky way!)

Good luck tomorrow everyone! Please remember one of the most important factors for achievement is parental support. All your DC's clearly have wonderful caring and supportive parents, so I have no doubt they will thrive, where ever they end up.
Thank you so much for this thread. It has been such a support x

Taurus23 · 09/02/2023 21:06

@QuiteAJourney totally , I think we’re all quite delirious by now

Justonecat · 09/02/2023 21:08

Having wine too…

can we discuss how to support DC in the event of very bad news tomorrow? It could be a straight no from all schools we applied to, I have explained this to dd but she is far more optimistic than I am, and I can sense that she has not taken it onboard. I know she won’t be without a school come September, there will always be a place for her somewhere, somehow, but a total defeat in the 11+ would be really crushing after all the work she put in.

What do we do in case tomorrow brings really disappointing news?

QuiteAJourney · 09/02/2023 21:14

Not wanting to cut across conversations but we are now fast approaching 1000 posts and we won't be able to post any longer here.
