Checking in. I've lost 6lbs in the past week but that's mainly because I had that bug. It's given me a boost to keep it off / lose more though.
So I'm doing 16:8, ashtanga yoga twice a week which is a real work out and swimming once a week.
I'd love to lose another 6/7lbs by Christmas.

Welcome all!

I have drank lots of water, done lots of exercise and actually stayed under my calories today.

Oh and the ice pole trick worked at feeling like I was having a treat

I probably need to lose a stone as a minimum. I won’t stand on the scales but I think I might take my measurement tomorrow as a base to see any differences

I need to lose loads. I find it easier to be dedicated to exercise than diet though.
I will try to fit some exercise in tomorrow though I find it tricky on a work day.

Can I join? I've got 3 weeks until my fitting for a wedding dress I bought pre lockdown. I've been low carbing, running and doing emi wong on YouTube but it's so bloody slow to work. I'll never get into the dress Blush

shouldistop I can't get the dress fastened by myself so I don't really know. I don't think it'll be much as I can get into the jeans I wore the day I bought it and they have no give in them. I'm hoping an inch or two from my middle and boobs will do it Hmm

@janeygodless I do have a cup of tea with a bit of milk in it so not strictly fasting, I'm only doing it for an easy way to control calories though.

@Tomorrowisanewday someone on the guilt free thread suggested ice poles/lollies to have when I’m craving sugar as a low calorie alternative.
It done the trick yesterday

I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago but unfortunately let it creep back on. I started lock down 40lbs up on what I was at my lowest (well lowest since I started measuring, I started as a very skinny adult but I'll never get back there again!). I've lost 23 pounds since lock down started, it's been a bit up and down and I really only weigh about once a month or when I feel inspired.

Weight loss before was mainly myfitnesspal calorie counting and latterly doing 16/8.

I'm not counting really at the moment but I have cut portions and trying not to eat so much crap. Its me on the ice-lollies. I just buy the ones where you get a box for a pound type. Definitely not eating so much chocolate.

My issue is that I'm not doing any enough exercise. I have no excuse other than lack of motivation. My phone shouts at me daily for not doing any. Steps are generally under 2k on a good day.

I only have about 5lbs until I'm in normal weight bmi but I'd like to get at least another stone. Whilst losing a pound or so a month feels more sustainable, it does mean I'll be looking at Christmas 2022 at this rate!

I'm thinking that I should maybe just make a better effort at the calories and 16/8 and see if I can get rid quicker. Exercise is probably required though.

@ElephantOfRisk 23lbs is amazing, well done to you.

My eating hours are 9.30-5.30 so I'm not skipping breakfast. Having 3 meals. Previously I was having 2 breakfasts though Blush and eating a dessert in the evening so I reckon I'm cutting out a lot of calories.

So far I've eaten a bowl of porridge & an apply for breakfast, lunch will be left over bolognese and I'm not sure about dinner yet.

I've upped my exercise but think I may have overdone it at the gym earlier as I've burst a blood vessel in my left eye Confused

Oh my @Ladylunchalot please don't kill yourself with overdoing it!

I've had a pretty stressy day today so haven't been great. Stayed in bed until 9.45 (be back at work in a couple of days so wanted to get a long lie under my belt), was really hungry when i got up so have a small bowl of cornflakes and a glass of pomegranate juice. Had a ham sandwich, a high protein yoghurt and a pile of blueberries for lunch, then I had a meeting about my return to work so since then i've had a couple of satsumas, a peach, an icelolly, turkey meatballs with pepper sauce and mash and peas and carrots, a bag of wotsits, a brunch bar and a cornetto - and I don't feel finished yet....oh dear!

Nothing hugely bad but just not all in the space of 3 hours...

Ladylunchalot that's sounds nasty, I hope you're OK.
What are you all aiming for? Weight loss/ exercise/ trying to get over lockdown?

Just a mix of everything. I do a martial art and my suit is getting snugger on me which restricts my movement. My own fault as I love sweet things. Just trying to eat better and up my exercise and hope that works.

Yeah to get up in the morning, put my jeans on and not have the feeling I'm at risk of busting a seam. And these are my vanity larger jeans too!

I have all the vices really, salty, sweet, bread, pasta, crisps, wine, gin...

Today was better than yesterday!
