Thanks *@Wax* knew it would be me 😃
I tend to just go straight to the graphs I'm used to, but he does mix it up a bit so it's worth going for a wee explore round the different parts from time to time. Some are only updated weekly though so you need to check the description underneath.

I find these threads really helpful, so thanks all 😊

Lockdownbear · 31/01/2021 19:52

Thanks.
These threads are amazing, I've learned so much, stuff that's I've never have considered.

My mil in England is getting her vaccination next week. She’s 70yrs with no underlying health conditions.

My family member who is a gp did say they are getting only small numbers of the vaccine sporadically and the Scot.gov is prioritising care home residents. like everyone else though, I’m feeling impatient.

WaxOnFeckOff · 31/01/2021 19:59

I'm just fed up of the continual update that we are ramping up vaccinations when the evidence suggests that that is simply not true. We are fairly steady at c23k a day. If that's the speed that we can go at then just say so and justify why that is, instead, everyone else is ramping up and we are effectively static. It's the lack of clarity about what and when and why that annoys me.

Yes I thought honesty and grown up conversation were a priority.

This was from travelling tabby. Frontline health and social care staff are by far the biggest group vaccinated. Id imagine more work in that category than there are care home residents though.

Just shuffling in to Mark the end of the longest crap month ever.

anon444877 · 31/01/2021 20:11

January 2021, where every Monday was blue, not a month that'll be missed!

Y0uCann0tBeSer10us · 31/01/2021 20:19

Placemarking and toasting the end of January - a real psychological milestone! Things can only get better, right?

kurtrussellsbeard · 31/01/2021 20:28

GTF January 👋🏻

RaspberryCoulis · 31/01/2021 20:29

That was the longest January ever. I swear it was about 60 days long.

My mid-70s parents are being jabbed on Tuesday at their GP surgery (dumfries and galloway region). My inlaws who are exactly the same age were done on Thursday at a large vaccination centre in a local sports centre. It does seem as if Scotland are delegating to GPs, except from all the healthcare staff who went to the Nightingale at the SECC. We keep being told things are being speeded up but I'm not really seeing the proof of that...

Anyway. I have arranged to meet a friend tomorrow and walk to get a takeaway coffee (and maybe a cake),

MissEliza · 31/01/2021 20:30

I do enjoy these threads too. People are able to discuss things civilly and are supportive of each other.
I had good news yesterday- df (78) got his vaccination!

WouldBeGood · 31/01/2021 20:30

@MissEliza that is good news!

Jodri · 31/01/2021 20:38

That’s good news that over 70s and under 80s are getting the vaccination: I was starting to despair a little!

MissEliza · 31/01/2021 20:45

Yes I could tell my df was getting quite anxious. He was in a great mood when I spoke to him after he got it.
It seems now all my friends' parents have been vaccinated and I'm starting to hear about some younger, vulnerable people who are getting vaccinated. A lot of progress is being made.

shouldistop · 31/01/2021 20:46

Checking in! Off to bed in a minute as usual.

So glad January is over, soon it will be spring. DH brought me daffodils back from the weekly shop, they always make me so cheery Smile

Tomorrow is another long day of child wrangling, baby feeding and a muddy trip to the park!

Hope you've all had an ok weekend.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 31/01/2021 20:49

DM & all her 70s —co-conspirators— friends have mid ish February appointments in Edinburgh.

The slowness of the jags so far is making me crazy - just get it done FFS.

I got lost
I hope Mr Groovee is doing well/less minion?
And that everyone else is well too? 🥃

ladylunchalot · 31/01/2021 20:49

Loads of community centres and sports centres are opening tomorrow for vaccines and there are vaccination teams in place (Lanarkshire). Some gp practices here were jagging the last few weeks (over 80s and over 70s) - my dad had his 10 days ago and he's 78.
I've completed the paperwork for doing the admin at the vaccine clinics, Bank shifts, so hoping to be doing that at weekends either next weekend or the one after. Going to be tough not having any days off Confused

RaspberryCoulis · 31/01/2021 20:49

Just away to look out my yoga mat, @WouldBeGood. That's all that's needed to flourish in lockdown, right?
