Any appetite for a continuance or have I missed the new thread?
There was quite a heated squabble respectful exchange of views so I am sure there is more to be said......

Made me laugh gruff with the best will in the world some no voting mumsnetters offering to snog MSPs changing into their votes against a new ref probably won't swing it!

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 21:56

Nolottery it's a crying shame!

Nyx · 21/03/2017 21:58

Trixy I don't think no voters = leave voters. I do think no voters = happy to go along with brexit UK.

NoLotteryWinYet · 21/03/2017 21:58

Well it's better than being nutted! Or could we argue this was how the greens should have measured the will of the people? Sleep well!

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:00

No voters on the whole respect the democratic will expressed in 2 very divisive referendums even where it did not go their way. I can't speak for them all only the ones I know.

Nyx · 21/03/2017 22:00

The market is shrinking massively with Brexit. An independent Scotland would more than likely get back into at least the single market after a while. I strongly doubt rUK would cut off all trade with Scotland.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:03

It would be easy. They are getting pissed off too. I can only speak with the knowledge I have from people I know in england.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:04

I don't think you can comprehend how easy it would be.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:06

The BBC has been all over nicola sturgeon and the snp in the south east. It is stoking up feelings that just did not exist. The snp claims to represent all of us with their rib poking.

It is a disaster.

dementedma · 21/03/2017 22:07

fontanella apologies if I have misquoted the numbers, I'm knackered but he was very sure that the Green/SNP alliance will win tomorrow. He had been in Chamber all day and was very weary too!
Tricksy that was a hugely informative infographic which backs up what we are hearing and what I heard at Parliament today. I am familiar with the company which produced it and they are well respected.
I will be back at Parliament next week for Brexit talks so will try and keep you all updated as much as I can without getting myself sacked!!!

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:08

I get a call from my mother in law asking if we are ok all the time telling me that stureen and the snp are all over the telly again. It is pissing her off and she likes scotland.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/03/2017 22:09

I know of no business owners who want either Brexit or independence

"Business for Scotland now has over 4,000 Associate and Stakeholder members."...

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:10

Thanks dementedma I would also really appreciate any updates. Been drinking Wine and it is never good to go on forums while drinking

Nyx · 21/03/2017 22:10

Gruffalo you are telling me to stop supporting independence because the English media are demonising NS and the SNP.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:12

They are demonising themselves

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:12

The BBC love their soundbites.

Just like they loved the IRA this morning.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:16

Yes it pisses people off. Is it any wonder. Hard working people pay a shit lot more just to survive down there. We are living it up believe me. They get pissed off listening to her poor wee us soundbites. Why? Because it is bollocks and I lived in both places.Things will be much worse with independence.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:20

Support it if you like just don't expect me to give a shit about your welfare if you do.

Thegruffalowswife · 21/03/2017 22:21

Leaving the forum now. I will be back tomorrow without the Wine

trixymalixy · 21/03/2017 22:26

We all know business for Scotland is an snp front. They have absolutely zero credibility.

Nyx, I'm not "happy to go along with Brexit", but it's the democratic Will of the uk voters so it has to happen. If it comes to a choice between the eu and the uk though I'd choose the uk. I'm not convinced the eu will survive Brexit, other countries are making noises about exiting too.

Nyx · 21/03/2017 22:29

Do you not believe that they represent real businesses in Scotland, Trixy?

Calyx72 · 21/03/2017 22:29

Scotland in Union is not founded or funded by Scotland at all

I think Business for Scotland are credible and their articles are well referenced.

Nyx · 21/03/2017 22:30

It's getting a bit repetitive that anything posted that's vaguely positive about independence ' has zero credibility'

NoLotteryWinYet · 21/03/2017 22:31

Anybody know how many businesses are in Scotland? 4000

NoLotteryWinYet · 21/03/2017 22:32

Sorry that should say, 4000 may be impressive or unimpressive depending on the overall stats on businesses in Scotland.
