For anyone who is still offering messages of hope, wisdom and general loveliness 🥰

And the “you forgot to mention”…. No I didn’t forget, I just don’t tell you about my life because it’s none of your business! These men literally don’t have any shame whatsoever.

Yes!!

He truly believes it’s your job to tell him all of your plans. How dare you OP! You’re not supposed to go off and live your life. That’s not his idea or his plan, it’s forbidden.

Two2TooAlsoToToward · 13/10/2026 22:17

Only he “forgot to mention” that his mum daycare provision was going on holiday, and his backup plan was OP taking holiday. Twat.

Bestfootforward11 · 13/10/2026 22:19

Oh I am chuckling at his panic…oh dear how the tables have turned…

Bestfootforward11 · 13/10/2026 22:21

And he presumably gives his precise location when the kids are with you?? 🤣 the man is utterly bonkers!

ItsCloudyToday · 13/10/2026 22:22

The cheek of him. Do not reply. It’s not to do with the kids = he doesn’t need to know.

Lostpassporthelp · 13/10/2026 22:23

Oh he’s going to be in a foul mood tomorrow morning when you drop the kids off. Don’t forget to wish him a fun weekend 😂

VariantHela · 13/10/2026 22:24

Why does he care though? And the comment about the bank shifts the cheeky cunt

mummy917 · 13/10/2026 22:01

”You forgot to mention you were staying out Saturday night. Are you staying somewhere local, incase I need to contact you about the kids? I have Ellie’s (not her real name) number still, if I can’t get hold of you and it’s urgent. I don’t understand why you didn’t tell me you were staying out, it seems out of character for you to stay out rather than just going home. All these bank shifts must be coming in handy!”

If you want to respond I would simply say, anything relevant to the children you will be notifed about, anything else is my own business. Or saying nothing because its nothing to do with him.

Or simply say no I didnt forget, it answers his question and tells him nothing.

I bet you know nothing about where he is when he hasn’t got the kids OP, But remember, it’s you who’s controlling…

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 13/10/2026 22:40

What a piece of shit this man is.

No response is the best response @mummy917 . Keep all comms strictly limited to kid related stuff.

How un-self aware is he, that he can actually write, probably re-read and then press send on such a text?

His bellend-ery knows no bounds….but do enjoy his discomfort at the thought of you staying out and doing the walk of shame on Sunday morning (even though you aren’t) 😂😂

So then, who is being controlling now? There we are then!!

YourOliveBalonz · 13/10/2026 22:49

I don’t think your son let it slip, I think your ex is probably questioning him regularly to keep tabs on you and this time didn’t like what he managed to find out.

I wonder, especially given recent communication and how it’s gone, if it’s worth sending a formal message to state the boundary at some point: you only want to communicate in writing, and only about matters relating to the children, but that you will be available by phone in case of emergency. Worst case scenario, he just ignores this and continues to look massively unreasonable.

Pessismistic · 13/10/2026 22:53

Ha op this man is unbelievable how dare you not ask his permission to enjoy yourself i think I would have sent a wink emoji just to piss him off. I bet if the kids let slip him doing this you would have just sucked it up and not asked him a single question. If he dares mention it again just say no need to ring any of my friends I’m sure you’ll be fine with your children just the way I am on my turns. Is there anything this twat won’t do. I think he’s the controlling one your meant to be stuck at home pining for the biggest twat I have ever heard of on here and there are a lot of them. Enjoy your freedom. Also don’t tell him about your extra shifts it’s none of his business.

mummy917 · 13/10/2026 22:13

I’ve got no intention whatsoever to reply to him. The audacity of him is half funny and half infuriating, but not enough for me to want to respond to him.

Let the half that is funny run the half that is infuriating out of town on a rail. You should find his messages hilarious. His text sounded like a sulky child, which I suppose is what he really is.

And as far as responding (I know you aren't) I'd like to quote a line (out of context) from a song:

"You say it best when you say nothing at all"

BeKhakiReader · 13/10/2026 23:06

That message is hilarious. How wonderful. He’ll spend all Saturday wondering what you’re doing.

bigboykitty · 13/10/2026 23:21

What a delicious message. The absolute fuckwit. 💪to you @mummy917 and agreed, nothing there that needs a response.

Sodthesystem · 13/10/2026 23:37

“Oh I didn’t tell you? Must have been none of your fucking business”.

I’d turn your phone off while you’re away. He will want to spoil your trip.

SweatySpider321 · 13/10/2026 23:52

His message is hilarious!! Yep, zero reply is the best

HolidayHattie · 14/10/2026 00:31

He will definitely manufacture some sort of emergency to try to spoil your weekend. Please don't let it.

Travelodge have been known - multiple times - to give room keys to non-residents, random people and staff, so please take a door wedge or similar to protect yourself.

DinoDoughnut81 · 14/10/2026 00:36

Very funny. Unless you are going off grid then a mobile phone is the usual way of getting in touch in an emergency. He definitely didn't think he'd be the one watching the kids on a Saturday while you go away for the night. What a wally.

Ohnobackagain · 14/10/2026 00:37

Probably worth trying to avoid telling the kids your plans @mummy917 at least for the time being … or not in detail anyway.

tempting to reply ‘now who’s being controlling’ though it wouldn’t help matters 😂

JLMA · 14/10/2026 05:07

Is he forgetting that you’re not together anymore?
isn’t this what he wanted? smirk

Definitely this.
I've noticed from your previous posts that your Son 'must have mentioned it'
Time to make your free time exclusively your own business.

Your Son-and so by default your Ex-don't need to know you are staying out all night.

Nellodee · 14/10/2026 05:47

Please make sure you have a nice bouquet of flowers on your window ledge for when he comes to drop off the kids. I hope he is tormented with thoughts of your weekend and I hope you have a lovely time and don’t think of him once, unless it is to have a laugh about how ridiculous he is.

mummy917 · 14/10/2026 06:39

My son overheard me talking to my friend on the phone about it, it’s the only time it’s been mentioned when he’s been around.

Handover this morning should be fun. I’m prepared for some snide remarks.
