Husband blocked me after he dumped me. What to do from here

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My husband left me out of the blue (we have 2 DD’s). He says he still loves me but he wants to forget me and move on. He has also said he wants to start dating but he doesn’t have anyone yet although he’s open to finding someone and remarrying and having more children. He then blocked me on WhatsApp so I can’t even call him about the children. I’m heartbroken I can’t stop crying. How can he say he loves me then block me and say he wants to move on. Surely if he loved me he wouldn’t be looking to be with anyone else? Also how can he block me when we have children. Please advise I’m on the verge of a nervous breakdown. How can he be so cruel. How do men do this I don’t understand how can he think he can just dump his family like we’re nothing and go start again. I’m a young mum by the way and I have no support at all 😭

I mean to be fair, it’s a good thing she didn’t believe or he would have drained that too.

And she’s smart not to have joint account with someone like him. All women should keep their own money separate imo. Either earn your own money and keep it separate or have him pay you a monthly amount into your account if he’s the wage earner. Take no chances. Too many men on here drain joint accounts and bolt.

Edited

My ex did this. Took every penny whilst i was pregnant and he was serving abroad. I was livid. I would never have a joint bank account again.

You are being very smart and strong. I'm so glad you have your parents.

If he wants you back so much he could put all the money from house sale into your personal account, a sign of trust? Proof he's not stealing the money, all in your name. You did that for years, see how he likes it?

That could be the ‘test’ of his commitment. ‘How can I ever trust you? If you put the money into an account of joint/my name, that would help to build trust and repair’

You then put the joint account into ‘financial dispute’ so he can’t touch it.

He is back tracking simply to gain time.
You are correct to not trust a word from him.
Do everything you can to block him.
I think asking a solicitor to involve the police is wise.

He sent a message through his sister saying he loves me and doesn’t want to lose me. He also wants us to go live with him. I have no idea what that means but the psychopath can forget about that. He is leaving me time to think and said he intends to pay the rent (5k a month) and send a further 3.7k a month for living costs and pay half the private school fees of my girls so 26k a year (basically he pays 1 child’s fees and I pay the other). I have no idea where he got these figures from but he said he will wait for me to decide if I still want him and do this in the meantime. I have already consulted a divorce lawyer and will file today although he has no idea about that

Keep the messages. He is proving he has money. If he later claims he has none it might be useful.

Does anyone know how I can find out if he’s with someone else so I can prove he was cheating? He has insisted he hasn’t yet but he wants to start meeting people. He would just go to work and come home there was literally no signs of anyone else, I even looked on his phone once and nothing. He is severely depressed though and he said he wants to do this so I don’t take him back

OP you’re focusing on the wrong things.
He’s already done the unforgivable by blocking you and saying he won’t support his children.
I’m sorry but your heart needs to take 4th place now- put your children and your stability first.

Document all of this. Get a lawyer asap. Don’t contact his sister again.

And do not take him back
