Dh has told me he’s ’got The ick’

That over the last few months he’s needed more time away from me as ‘little things were annoying’ and he can’t put up with certain ‘habits’ anymore. He thinks I’m lazy and he worries about the image I have and how that will affect the dc.

We used to go out once a week but he stopped that two weeks ago and made excuses. He’s now said he can’t stand the way I act when out and how I eat. I’m quite shy and he finds it ‘embarrassing’ . He’s very chatty and sociable.

I don’t know what I’m meant to do ?

Perhaps men are a bit more clued-up on terminology than we think they are. DH is 70+ and has used in the recent past 'grey rock' and 'narcissist' and I wouldn't have expected him to have heard of either (this was in relation to a bloke he knows by the way, who is a bit of a tricky customer with a string of broken marriages behind him).

Honestly, a friend got a private investigator on the case with her ex and that was the proof she needed to instigate a divorce. She had done the searching for clues, asking what’s wrong, tried to change herself to make him happy. All this time he was shagging someone else and lying to her face.

I’m sorry to say that with your description here, I’d put money on there being another woman. Does he have any hidden apps on his phone? Or perhaps a separate PAYG burner phone? Messaging apps that aren’t WhatsApp - Signal, Snapchat etc?
