Is this is a normal way to have sex?

You know on TV how couples burst the front door open, and start stripping each other while passionately kissing all the way to the bedroom - is that actually a thing?! Reassure me please that even in the first throes it's not like that for anyone in real life!

OP posts:

Not after 10 years, but sure at the beginning very much so

I’d agree with that. Not anymore but definitely at the beginning.

LT2 · 20/06/2023 20:17

No, that would make me cringe if it was really like that

rinseandrepeat1 · 20/06/2023 20:17

Me and my DH were like this at the beginning.

I've not been like it with anybody else but we just clicked very well in terms of sexual chemistry.

We aren't like it after 15 years though Grin

Nannyfannybanny · 20/06/2023 20:19

Yes, because I was married to a controller, and had very little time. Sometimes I would nip to his house, wearing a Mac and undies underneath. I married him and we're still together 35 years on.

Nannyfannybanny · 20/06/2023 20:20

We rarely made it to the bedroom!!

Apricotflanday · 20/06/2023 20:21

We did it the day before yesterday, 18 months into our relationship, but you can tell we're middle aged, because we timetabled it in — lunchtime — and made the sheets nice first. 😆

AllThatTwitters · 20/06/2023 20:24

I have pondered this for decades and am so grateful to you for posing this question, OP! I can only recall it being like this with one boyf, in my 20s, I have sadly never had telly sex since 😃

perfectcolourfound · 20/06/2023 20:26

It really annoys me when I see it like this in films! In order to have enjoyable sex I need to be relaxed. And in order to be relaxed what I don't need as random bits of clothing all over the house. On the odd occasion we were like this in the early days, we ended up just laughing as I attempted to tidy up at the same time!

Horizabel · 20/06/2023 20:28

Yes, absolutely it is. In first throes of many of my relationship, though it lasted longer in some than in others.

Wherestheheatwave · 20/06/2023 20:30

It was liken this in my first relationship. Not since!

HashBrownandBeans · 20/06/2023 20:31

We were very much like this at the start and for a good few years in. Much more sensible now but still very active. The sex is better. We are more adventurous

Newusernamee · 20/06/2023 20:32

Initially, yes….. but not for a bloody long time since!

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 20/06/2023 20:33

In the early days maybe. We were like this. We lived at home with parents though (18&19) so it was when we closed the bedroom door, ripping clothes off and just going for it. Unless the parents weren't home though and it would be on the sofa or table

Sorry in-laws and Dad 😂😂😂

Iamuhtredsonofuhtred · 20/06/2023 21:03

I had sex like that today.

Ginger1982 · 20/06/2023 21:07

Nope, never. I've often wondered if I would enjoy it that way.

TimesRwo · 20/06/2023 21:14

I’ve had two relationships like that. One was a friend with benefit, and the other was with DH in the first couple of years of our relationship. It changed when we moved in together, but still happens from time to time (usually when toddler is with my mum so we have come back to an empty house!)

Feelingsickrightnow · 20/06/2023 21:18

Yes I was like this in my previous relationships..young and carefree..those were the days.

viques · 20/06/2023 21:19

Most people would trip over all the crap in the hall and do themselves an injury. And then have a row about whose crap it was and who hadn’t put it away……

Rycbar · 20/06/2023 21:20

I’d be lying if I said that had never happened at the start of relationships or situationships. Especially if there has been a lot of chemistry previously and we’d finally given in. However no it’s not the norm and isn’t how my fiancé and I have sex now!

Toddlerteaplease · 20/06/2023 21:21

It's happed once!

Dinobore · 20/06/2023 21:21

At the start yes, sometimes still if we have been out together.

HermioneWeasley · 20/06/2023 21:22

Sorry OP, when younger and child free it very much was. Got carried away in every room of the house.

pizzaHeart · 20/06/2023 21:23

I’m with @perfectcolourfound - I like to be relaxed and wash hands first when coming from outside.

RachelHair · 20/06/2023 21:23

It's been like this with a couple of people where we've been really compatible and on first throws of love/lust.
