Is this is a normal way to have sex?

You know on TV how couples burst the front door open, and start stripping each other while passionately kissing all the way to the bedroom - is that actually a thing?! Reassure me please that even in the first throes it's not like that for anyone in real life!

Erm I'm afraid it still happens fairly regularly and 4 kids on i still fancy the pants off my hubby

Hawkins0001 · 21/06/2023 02:40

Not as such, some bits are eg the kissing, but the clothes are more taken care of without kissing, then afterwards resume the business

Cucucucu · 21/06/2023 02:40

Oh I’ve had this sort of sex quite a few times . In fact I would still have this sort if sex with hubby if the kids were not home most of the time . Now the sporadic sex is more morning sex or waking up at night and doing it . But the passion is the same .

Those scenes on TV have always confused me, even when I was 19… Don’t they need to wee first when getting back home from the night out???

Most people would trip over all the crap in the hall and do themselves an injury. And then have a row about whose crap it was and who hadn’t put it away……

This, 100%

OhSmitty · 21/06/2023 05:49

Only once where we made it to the stairs.

RichPetunia · 21/06/2023 06:01

I've had this with two different partners and it's bloody excellent 🥳🥳. Others, including a long term partner were much more sedate and less spontaneous. I left my ex and one of the reasons was that I never got used to the lack of passion.

Herbiebanannas · 21/06/2023 06:03

Absolutely this happens after a night out, or for example sharing a lift home from work after messaging and winding each other up all day.

saltrocking · 21/06/2023 06:05

Was definitely like this in the first few years of my relationship, flagged once we had kids and things needed to be a bit more planned. Now over 25 years later we have the house to ourselves and we make the most of it lol.

Had to drag him in from the garden after I got home from work this week. Damn those grey jogger shorts lol

Oh no......you're one of those people who have to fold their clothes neatly before they have sex...

I'm not that bad... I leave it til a couple of minutes after 😀

heartbroken40 · 21/06/2023 06:47

Absolutely YES. We only see each other twice a week and when we do, we are very passionate. We've only been together 18 months or so but I hope it lasts for a very long time !

Harrypewter · 21/06/2023 07:09

We're at the anywhere, anytime, all the time stage. Literally.
The chemistry is palpable, when out and about we're constantly winding each other up.

If someone constantly wound me up I'd just see them as a daft mate rather than a red hot lover and it'd kill any passion.

QueefQueen80s · 21/06/2023 08:40

Nope never.. I can't relate to those scenes at all but I do enjoy sex 🤷🏻‍♀️

beeskipa · 21/06/2023 08:57

Definitely was at first - we were long distance for 2 years so that kept things that way for longer. It's not usually like that these days but there was a recent incident at a holiday cottage where we bundled each other into the ensuite while our friends were all having breakfast because it seemed urgent, haha.

So...very occasionally!

Winding up as in building tension and passion, generating excitement and desire.

That would put you off? Blimey!

PinkIcedCream · 21/06/2023 10:41

Nope, never. Never really enjoyed sex, if I'm honest. 😳

I meant as @Herbiebanannas described, not winding up as in angst.

I saw "winding up" as joking about and messing about.

PaintedEgg · 21/06/2023 11:55

its very much a thing if you're both in a mood for long enough :D

I saw "winding up" as joking about and messing about.

It wasn't meant in that context.

It was meant in the context of sexual tension, lust, and desire. So much so that even walking about in public for any length of time is a problem, because all one can think about is having sex with the other.

lastminutewednesday · 21/06/2023 12:15

It's like that with us sometimes-once a month or so, and we are three years in. The rest of the time it's frequent but normal (*ie in bed, and quietly because the kids are asleep in their rooms next door)

coffeedrinkers · 21/06/2023 12:22

At the beginning yes, not so much now. When he left this morning he shook his knob at me and asked if I wanted some dick later. Pretty standard behaviour.
I've never understood how they make face to face standup sex look so easy on tv.

I'm not like this but so what if this person is? Why be judgemental

maddiemookins16mum · 21/06/2023 12:29

Oh to be 25 again (or even 35!). Yep not anymore but when it happened like that, or similar, it was flippin brill. Nowadays I’d trip over my slippers on the way up the stairs.
