Cheating or coincidence?!?

So a couple of weeks ago, my husband suddenly starts a health kick. Wants to start eating more protein, press ups in the living room. I ask him what's brought this on and he says he wants to look better for me. I notice also his sex drive suddenly increases. We joke and I say something like "if I posted this online on mn or some advice page everyone would be convinced you are having an affair" we laugh. I have no worries.

Anyway, fast forward to now when he's mentioned it stings when he pees and he's got these ulcers on his penis. We have an appointment for tomorrow at a clinic.

Can this be a coincidence? Surely not? Sahm with baby so my life would very much implode

Far from good I'd say!

My friend caught warts of his friends towels, his friend had them was a bit of a player, he caught warts of him after having a bath at his and using the same towel.

I thought that was an urban myth and you can't catch sti's from sharing towels, toilet seats etc ....

LadyEloise1 · 05/05/2023 07:39

I thought it was an urban myth too @Copperoliverbear

booboo24 · 05/05/2023 07:50

I thought it was a myth too, just googled it and the first site said no, it can't be passed on through sharing towels, the very next site said it can be, so I guess noone knows for sure!

Newgolddream70 · 05/05/2023 10:25

Call me a cynic but if my partner suddenly said he wanted to get in shape 'for me', I would find that odd and a bit suspicious. Especially if it wasn't even an issue for me.

Also, UTIs are not as common in men as they are in women (for obvious reasons) and having ulcers or any sort of lesion on your penis is also not something not to be concerned about.

You cannot get genital warts from sharing towels https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/genital-warts/

nhs.uk

Genital warts

Genital warts are small fleshy growths, bumps or skin changes that appear on or around the genital or anal area.

BTW you don't get a phone call.
You get a descrete text message.

Ds got tested and he told me...
Think I have a copy of the actual text... Hang on.

ohsuzannah · 05/05/2023 22:42

Could it be shingles? 🤷‍♀️

Update. He got a phone call today saying they were negative so we are all good! Worried for nothing 😁

Were you there when he got the call? As a PP mentioned, they usually send a text...

TheyAreMyBhunasPete · 06/05/2023 22:36

No I wasn't there when he got the call, he was at work. We have just had a convo about it and I just tried to make sure it wasn't a scam and double check the number and it turns out he's deleted the call log. The plot thickens

@TheyAreMyBhunasPete . Sorry OP , i don't know anyone who deletes theirs call logs.Quite the opposite really .

gogogoji · 06/05/2023 22:53

Oh come on. He 'got a phone call' but deleted his log. Who deleted their log. Please in the kindest way possible, wake up

Frazzledmummy123 · 06/05/2023 22:55

I have just read this thread and until the latest update I thought it looked fine as he was so open about it with you which would be doubtful if he had cheated. However, your recent update is concerning. What did he say when you asked why he deleted his call log?

Todaynotalways · 06/05/2023 22:55

@TheyAreMyBhunasPete in my knowledge of GUM clinics, they send a text (old school SMS) rather than phoning with results.

OhwhyOY · 06/05/2023 22:56

It doesn't sound good OP, I'm sorry. Can you get him to call the clinic he allegedly attended on speaker and say he hasn't had his results through and see what they say (I.e. positive for XX or no record of you here sir...).

shieldmaiden7 · 07/05/2023 01:10

I'm sorry but there is no way I would trust him or believe him.

Sorry OP

Given his profession maybe he's better at knowing how to cover up lying

monsteramunch · 23/04/2023 23:53

@Sittwritt

Perhaps the ulcers are his endearing way of being ready to come out to you.

Yeah it's adorable, super endearing.

Wtf?!

Agree - wtf
That has got to be one of the most batshit things I've ever read - penis ulcers as being an endearing way of coming out about an affair ???

LadyEloise1 · 07/05/2023 08:12

I do hope you get an answer @TheyAreMyBhunasPete.
Why would he delete that call.
It's not looking good, sadly.

I'm intrigued by you saying that ".....he works in a profession known for affairs."
The only one I can think of is show business - movies, theatre or music.
Then some poster mentioned the police.😮

I once got thrush because I was on antibiotics. My ex had been out with a friend and he too had been on antibiotics and had thrush from it as well. I didn’t know this guy very well but guess what I was accused of when he got home - I was an idiot and stayed another 15 years. I was always accused of seeing other people - especially when I tried to make myself feel better - I was 15kg heavier than I should have been and was so unhappy. Don’t jump to conclusions.

Nomad12 · 07/05/2023 10:25

Oh op, I'm so sorry. It's almost certainly herpes. And that he "deleted" an imaginary call is so incriminating. 🤗

YouJustDoYou · 07/05/2023 10:34

He deleted the call log?? Yeah, because that's not him hiding something is it? Not looking good for him.

BlastedPimples · 07/05/2023 10:34

Genital herpes.

The guy's got open sores on his dick and deleted the call log from the clinic supposedly calling him, I would say those aren't good signs, Scot.
