Would you date a man shorter than you?

Just that really - was having a discussion around a dinner party tonight and the issue seemed v. contentious, so I said I would post on here to gauge other opinions!

Im 5' 11" and one boyfriend was 5'7" and my first serious boyfriend was 5'8". My husband was my height.

Do you have anything else to offer besides being a fairly typical height for a man?

I came to the conclusion long before I’d even heard of MN that the shorter the woman the taller the man she fancie had to be. Reading MN I am pretty much convinced of it!
i am 182cm so a smidge under 6ft. All my relationships have been with women over 5ft 8 and my wife is 5ft 10.
my 3 sisters are all 5ft 10-11. One has a husband who is 5ft 7, one’s exh is 5.9 and current husband 5.10 and 3rd ex is 6ft and current 5.11.
they dont care at all about height.
so my advise to guys below 6ft - go for tall women and leave the short arses for the 6.1 plus brigade!

I would not want to really. I am rather petite though, just a smidge over 5ft.

I'm sure there are no women on here or anywhere else who aren't very aware that men have physical criteria for women, so it hardly comes as a surprise.
Its actually the reverse that amuses me. Men are extremely appearance focused, yet soon start whining when the boots on the other foot.

Only one is appearance based though - not overweight.

Drugs and an asexual partner most will be in agreement with.

The children of single mothers will already have an involved father in a lot of cases and no need of another.

If we're talking about stereotypes the vegans I know are left wing, yes, but also earth mother types with above average number of children (educated in early years via Steiner or Montessori method).

You are well within the realms of average. Do you think if you're 5'8 you're short suddenly? Your three inches above average. That is average. Many men are 6'.

Also you use 7 inches as if it's huge, that's also fairly standard😂

Anyway, your entitled to your preference but please remember being 6' is not an achievement
