And did it effect how others compared?

@Electricmouse

24…wow….24

I’ve never experienced anything like this with a partner. Nothing close.

I am really lucky I'm realising, to have experienced that but then as I've said, I don't think it is so uncommon for gay women. I still speak to her, she would have been so so wrong for me in a relationship sense unfortunately :(

this is like that bit in Friends where Rachel is mortified that Ross kept track of how many times they’d had sex and called him a loser. Can’t have been that mind blowing if you were keeping tally

It really truly was. I obviously just think differently, but I'd always struggled to orgasm and I just couldn't believe it. It was shocking and quite possibly one of the best moments of my life. I'm pretty anodonic much of the time.

Yes

I got into Catholicism so should wait till marriage really, anyway. Then I might discover on my wedding night that they have an impotent micropenis.

I'm sure you can have an accidental feel before hand. Your future may rely on it!

pollyglot · 19/05/2022 02:04

Oh yes. Later in life, new man. Mind-blowing doesn't even start to describe it. Out-of-body, literally a 2-hour continuous orgasm. First time I'd ever experienced female ejaculation, which meant at least 4 towels completely soaked through. And the mattress protector. The strangest feeling of being immortal, in spirit, not body. bathed in warm sunlight, yet filled with fire, sheer ecstasy. Beyond ecstasy. Reader, I married him.

mackthepony · 19/05/2022 02:37

Sorry, but 24 orgasms? Give me a break

Alondra · 19/05/2022 03:00

I've had a good sex life with DH but the first time I experienced mind blowing sex was after menopause. It was not quatity of orgasms but quality, I rarely orgasm more than once if I'm lucky anyway.

What made it mind blowing was the intensity and duration of orgasm. Literally it feels like an explossion that gets suspended there at the same intensity level for several seconds. I remember telling DH that for the first time I understood why men are such sluts. Also after menopause was the first time I experienced female ejaculation which did not come with an orgasm but it's a really nice warm feeling difficult to describe.

Talking about it once with my doctor, she said that it was not unusual having very intense female orgasms after menopause, something to do with a slower blood supply and thining of the vaginal wall.

No, I’ve had good sex where I did orgasm and average sex with none but I am truly mystified as to what other posters mean when they talk about mind blowing sex. What exactly differentiates between good and mind blowing?

Sex that leaves you essentially unaware of your surroundings and at the end you lay there legs shaking, completely relaxed, almost unable to move (or unable to get the will to move lol) and your mind feels like it has almost floated away.

P.S - Yes I have had mind blowing sex Wink

Bloodybridget · 19/05/2022 03:16

Yes, it was a fantastically joyful liberation after being in a relationship with almost no sex for several years. I'm a lesbian btw.

ChampagneLassie · 19/05/2022 03:18

Yes with my current DP. I remember the first time very fondly but there were plenty for first 2 years. Sadly his desire for me / sex drive seems to have fallen off a cliff. 😢

Yeah. First time I had great sex I was 19, I'd just ended things with my childhood boyfriend who I had boring sex with, so was pretty inexperienced. It was with an Aussie barman who was spending a year in the UK. I fancied him like mad and we ended up seeing each other for a few weeks before he went back to Australia. Let's just say I knew what a good shag was after my time with him. I have amazing sex with my husband, but Aussie barman sticks in my mind as the one who showed me how great it could be.

I also had the best sex of my life with an Aussie. I saw him every night for a week before he went back and each time was wonderful. I think of it often

Josette77 · 19/05/2022 04:07

Yes indeed. I love sex and have had some great partners .

Yesssss. Yes yes

Met this guy Chris a number of years ago (when I was in my 40s) n never ever had sex like it......he was a v dominant but giving lover with a gorgeous intelligent brain .....we just clicked on every level. The cherry on top was he was also massively thick In the trouser dept also (honestly thought I was going to get stretch marks around my mouth).

Oh makes me feel hot n bothered even thinking about it
.......saw each other for a year as FWB.... and then I discovered he was married. I was absolutely devastated as that's a line I never cross. I could have wrecked his life and told his family.....but I didn't. Still think of him almost every day, which is crazy I know.

Bednobsbroomsticks · 19/05/2022 06:20

Yes have always been lucky in that every partner from age of 20 has been mind blowing . I think I'm just good at it the men get no credit haha

Onwards22 · 19/05/2022 06:22

Yes I’ve been very lucky with my partners and it’s more important to me that many other attributes.

I think the key is to find someone who isn’t selfish in bed, which by reading many MN threads it seems quite a few men are.
Also I find with some people you just click with and that chemistry makes good sex turn into great sex.

SaltandPeppasHere · 19/05/2022 06:26

Yes. Unfortunately, the guy involved was an absolute twat in the end.

Beetlewings · 19/05/2022 06:29

Yes. I'm 50. Partner is 58. He just knows what to do and I feel comfortable enough with him to let go. The only other times I've had mind blowing sex was in my 20s when with a woman.

LetHimHaveIt · 19/05/2022 06:30

No. Nor even good sex. Never had an orgasm with anyone else.

Beetlewings · 19/05/2022 06:33

mackthepony · 19/05/2022 02:37

Sorry, but 24 orgasms? Give me a break

if they were aware enough to be counting their orgasms, were they really orgasms? I've had orgasms where my partner has told me my phone was buzzing and I had no idea

speakout · 19/05/2022 06:34

Yes- for a period of 4 years- nothing like it before or since.
Unfortunately the guy was a pig.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 19/05/2022 06:34

Yes. I’d had good sex before, but one bf made me understand why people say “The Earth moved”. Sadly he was quite annoying in most other respects.

NotQuiteUsual · 19/05/2022 06:36

Yup, me and DH have been at it so long now we know exactly how the others body works. It's brilliant, although intense. I orgasm a lot and it's incredibly tiring. Definitely not fond of morning quickies, when we have sex that's me done for the day most of the time.

Olsi109 · 19/05/2022 06:42

Yes but not with DH 😞

I have been trying to "coach" him our entire 13 years and I've just given up. Have to remind myself often that there's more to a marriage but it does get to me.

WalkerWalking · 19/05/2022 07:00

I feel, for balance, that I should mention that I too had a Aussie bf for a year or so in my early 20s, and it was the most awkward, sweaty, "are you nearly done yet" sex. Blurgh.

(just in case this thread has hordes of MNers heading for the London bars this weekend 🤣🤣)
