My AirPods are where I thought they were. My husband isn’t!!

I’ve been reading mumsnet for years but not made an account until now. I can’t talk to anyone in RL and really need some advice please
My DH is on a golfing trip with a work friend in Portugal. I though I would do some housework today and was looking for my AirPods. I couldn’t find them so mentioned to DS that I didn’t want to spend time looking in case I’d left them at work.
He suggested I look on find my iPhone as that would show them. I’ve never used it before but once I reset the Apple ID I got in and saw they were in the house. ( I searched the kitchen and found them behind the pot I drop my keys and stuff in. )
I noticed that this app showed my husbands phone so clicked on it just for a nose
He’s not in Portugal. He’s in Spain!!!!!
Why the fuck would he lie about what country he he’s in unless there is something seriously dodgy going on. I watched him go from a hotel to a
Restaurant, then along the seafront, then back to the same hotel. It can’t be wrong. I can’t sleep. Is he with another woman?
Wtf do I do?????

Sod that I’m going to the airport tomorrow.

TheLeadbetterLife · 27/03/2022 15:37

@Wideawakeandconfused

Not helping now but he’ll have to have his passport stamped when he returns so you’ll have firm evidence in it when he returns.
Not if he flew into Faro and drove to Spain he won't.
TheMarvelousMrsMaisel · 27/03/2022 15:38

Why not just say I know your in Spain?

Mumof3confused · 27/03/2022 15:38

I’d keep a close eye on his movements tomorrow and if it shows an airport you’ll know it’s correct. It’s hardly going to mistake one airport for another.

booplefloof · 27/03/2022 15:39

I never ever give or receive flight details from DH.

We are generally so busy with DC and life, that it just doesn't concern us. We live near a small airport though and it isn't hard to work out. We do let each other know if there are any delays etc.

It doesn't look good though OP. Am sorry.

ImInStealthMode · 27/03/2022 15:43

@CellophaneFlower Did you mean to direct that to the OP? It wasn't her who said it was awful??

ClariceQuiff · 27/03/2022 15:43

@BadDayForMe

I’m more worried now. I went from the friends Facebook page to the friends wife’s page. She has changed her profile photo today. It’s of her sitting in bed with her 2 little girls. She has a tray with breakfast and a Mother’s Day card on it. Im wondering who has taken a photo of them in bed if the husband is away??
Her husband would potentially ask the same question so I doubt she would make the presence of an 'unauthorised' third party obvious like that.
TheTeenageYears · 27/03/2022 15:44

I really hope this is all a misunderstanding but in future (if there is one) you should have full flight and accommodation details. From a safety perspective not knowing this information is concerning. Aside from anything else that could go wrong there's a war on. Imagine if there's a plane crash and all you know is he's flying back from Portugal.

SantaHat · 27/03/2022 15:46

Is this a new post brexit thing I’ve missed?

supercali77 · 27/03/2022 15:46

@ClariceQuiff the OP is suggesting friends husband is at home and not out on a golfing trip with her husband

If there was a plane crash OP would call the active phone she's monitoring him on and if that got no response call the helpline set up for worried relatives.

Having the flight number doesn't make anyone any safer. It won't stop the plan crashing .

speakout · 27/03/2022 15:49

I don't get flight details or hotel from my OH when he travels either.
He is away a lot with work- we can always contact each other by phone- it is just extra information I don't need.

MNCar · 27/03/2022 15:49

@3luckystars

That’s it. Go to the airport, find his car and check the boot for golf clubs.
That was what I thought!
ClariceQuiff · 27/03/2022 15:50
@ClariceQuiff the OP is suggesting friends husband is at home and not out on a golfing trip with her husband
Oh, sorry - thanks for explaining.

Teeheehee1579 · 27/03/2022 15:50

It’s such an odd lie to tell though isn’t it? If he’s gone away with someone he might just as well say they are in Spain as Portugal surely? Why would you lie about the country! I bet they have just gone across the border to play.

duvetdayforeveryone · 27/03/2022 15:53

If my DH did this, I would immediately be changing the locks and packing up all his stuff. No chance in hell he'd ever be allowed in the house again.

Namechanger0800 · 27/03/2022 15:54

i think this is very very odd but doesn't mean he's cheating if it turns out he's in spain

cheeseandbiscu1ts · 27/03/2022 15:54

I agree, going to the airport tomorrow is a good idea

Lizzy1980 · 27/03/2022 15:54

I don’t have any advice OP but I hope everything is resolved ASAP. I’m sure at this point you just want some straight, honest answers. I really hope you’re ok x

TheyCallMeJune · 27/03/2022 15:55

I don't understand why you don't just ask him! That would be the simplest way to find out rather than creeping round like Miss Marple!

Squeezyhug · 27/03/2022 15:59

Go meet him at the airport.
It will be odd if he arrives at a time different to the gato flight.
Ask him when his plane lands

pompomseverywhere · 27/03/2022 15:59

@Sunnydays78

Also now you know you can locate him perhaps sit on it. If he is having an affair you will be able to see where and when they meet
Absolutely excellent idea if you can stand it OP
bare · 27/03/2022 15:59

I wouldn't be able to stop myself asking, tbh.
'Are you having a good time in Portugal?'
'Yes'
'Are you actually in Portugal?'
'Yes'
'Well why are your f**king Airpods in Spain?'

Silence
Phone down

Squeezyhug · 27/03/2022 16:00

Faro( typo)

Wideawakeandconfused · 27/03/2022 16:00

Passports have to be stamped when leaving Spain, although this will all end in May 22.
