My AirPods are where I thought they were. My husband isn’t!!

I’ve been reading mumsnet for years but not made an account until now. I can’t talk to anyone in RL and really need some advice please
My DH is on a golfing trip with a work friend in Portugal. I though I would do some housework today and was looking for my AirPods. I couldn’t find them so mentioned to DS that I didn’t want to spend time looking in case I’d left them at work.
He suggested I look on find my iPhone as that would show them. I’ve never used it before but once I reset the Apple ID I got in and saw they were in the house. ( I searched the kitchen and found them behind the pot I drop my keys and stuff in. )
I noticed that this app showed my husbands phone so clicked on it just for a nose
He’s not in Portugal. He’s in Spain!!!!!
Why the fuck would he lie about what country he he’s in unless there is something seriously dodgy going on. I watched him go from a hotel to a
Restaurant, then along the seafront, then back to the same hotel. It can’t be wrong. I can’t sleep. Is he with another woman?
Wtf do I do?????

Have you sent him any msg asking how his friend is? I would be tempted to send a msg 'hope you have a good last day - has luke had a good time?' Kind of thing You know he's lied about where he's gone catch him in a lie about who with. Absolute fucker sorry op that's utter shit

Passports haven’t been stamped for tens of years and even then they’d only stamp the book of one person in the travelling party

This has changed since Brexit. You now have to queue and have your passport stamped at the airport. Certainly at Malaga anyway .

Do you know any of the ladies he works with or perhaps women you are both friends with that you could check them out on Facebook as they could be posting photos of their holiday(he won't be in them)but nay give you some clues

Those saying that their computer or laptop has the wrong location, so the phone could too, that's not at all the same as a phone. My Google shopping tab on my desktop thinks I am in Croatia and shows me items to buy there even though I was last there (with the computer) about eight months ago. But a phone, whether iPhone or Android, is not going to be wrong (well, it can take a time to update sometimes As a PP has described, sometimes I think DH is half an hour away and he walks through the door, because Google Maps is still showing somewhere he actually was half an hour aago. It can't put him as being somewhere he hasn't been (and not sure about how it works on iPhones but on Google Maps it says how long ago the location was updated, and that is always accurate)).

Sorry OP but I can't think of an innocent explanation (although it seems odd that he did not just tell you the correct place, even if he is up to no good. Unless you have a history of turning up in places abroad unannounced to surprise him, why not stick as close to the truth as possible?).

I'm not sure I would be too worried at this stage.

DB is a golfer and has a house in Spain and often flies into Faro. He looks for the overall cheapest flights/car hire option. Sometimes he flies to Spain - it just depends on cost. Flight timings are a consideration too if he's only going for the weekend. Malaga or Faro - he just picks the best option.

It's a nice drive over the bridge between Portugal and Spain and for a golfer there is the added bonus of playing great courses both sides of the border. A couple of hours drive for a keen golfer is nothing. And there is always the option of staying at more than one hotel en-route to the next course.

Only you know your husband OP but if he's anything like mine (who occasionally goes golfing with my DB) - he's quite happy leaving the finer details to the organiser (DB).

I’d be watching his location and screenshot it all day.

I’d also be going to arrivals for a discreet look.
If there was a choice of two airports I’d be asking my best friend to go to one too.

If you know friends address I’d be looking to see if he’s around ( just low level observation- is his car there - did he drive or husband)

Not much I can add really but I do hope it's innocent, dont do anything to quickly just keep tracking and check when you can, only ask him when you have enough 'evidence' of things you can't explain. 💐

Did you read even the title of the thread? OP did it to find her AirPods and her husband’s location appeared because all devices show on the map when you open it.

All OP has to do is check out when DH goes to Malaga airport, then check out what flight departs around two hours later, and be at the airport.

Even if he hasn't travelled back with OW, how will he explain lack of mate/lack of flight from Faro?

I wouldn't be visible waiting until I could check out what was going on, then ask him later and see if he lies again (he will)

Maybe he’s flown into Faro and travelled across into Spain playing on various golf courses on the way. He may be flying back home out of Malaga. Most logical explanation!

I was just thinking the same thing .

Whatever is going on - too many posters are too gleeful at the drama here . This is someone's life - not a TV show.
