My AirPods are where I thought they were. My husband isn’t!!

I’ve been reading mumsnet for years but not made an account until now. I can’t talk to anyone in RL and really need some advice please
My DH is on a golfing trip with a work friend in Portugal. I though I would do some housework today and was looking for my AirPods. I couldn’t find them so mentioned to DS that I didn’t want to spend time looking in case I’d left them at work.
He suggested I look on find my iPhone as that would show them. I’ve never used it before but once I reset the Apple ID I got in and saw they were in the house. ( I searched the kitchen and found them behind the pot I drop my keys and stuff in. )
I noticed that this app showed my husbands phone so clicked on it just for a nose
He’s not in Portugal. He’s in Spain!!!!!
Why the fuck would he lie about what country he he’s in unless there is something seriously dodgy going on. I watched him go from a hotel to a
Restaurant, then along the seafront, then back to the same hotel. It can’t be wrong. I can’t sleep. Is he with another woman?
Wtf do I do?????

Oh op this must be a nightmare for you.
Can you phone the hotel he is supposed to be staying in and ask them to put you through to his room. You will soon know if he's staying there or not.

Thanks for checking the flights. He said he will be home tomorrow afternoon so that doesn’t fit. I hope his phone hasn’t alerted him I’ve looked. I’m going to have to do something. I can’t go on like this until tomorrow.
Find my iPhone definitely doesn’t notify you that someone has looked. Hope you’re ok. Have you called him ?

Wouldn't he have been alerted when you switched on find my iPhone? My phone asked me that. Do you share an applie id?
If it was set up ages ago it wouldn't alert you now usually. Find my iPhone doesn't usually send an alert out to say someone has used it.

I've got friends who are in Portugal at the moment and apparently the weather has been really bad. Could he have decided to go to Spain to play for better weather but didn't want to say as it's obviously spending more money that you might not approve of? Obviously still lying but doesn't automatically mean affair.

I’m more worried now. I went from the friends Facebook page to the friends wife’s page. She has changed her profile photo today. It’s of her sitting in bed with her 2 little girls. She has a tray with breakfast and a Mother’s Day card on it. Im wondering who has taken a photo of them in bed if the husband is away??

The faro flights to Bristol are early am or late evening tomorrow. However the two Malaga flights are late morning and early afternoon.

Do you have contact details for the friend he’s meant to be away with other than Facebook? Or his wife? Message them and say I’m trying to get in touch with DH but he isn’t replying, just wondering if there’s a problem with his phone while abroad with you, could he use your phone or get him to ring me from the hotel please? (Rather than outright asking is he with you?)

Think you need some facts
Just make an excuse to call the wife of his golf friend or pop round there.
Alternatively meet him at the airport otherwise you'll never believe him and if he has been in Portugal and it's the find my iPhone that's wrong for some reason it will keep bothering you

Had a look on skyscanner like others and the Faro flights don't match. I'd suggest checking Find my iPhone from 8/9am tomorrow and watch him head to the airport.

It suggests he's flying from Malaga and will either be in around 1pm or 3pm on either of the flights due.

If you can get to Bristol airport easily I would do it. And if he's there with another woman then I'd take a photo or let him see you and tell him not to bother coming home.

Just video call him now, don't give flight details in here. I can imagine a crowd of mumsnetters awaiting him in arrivals Grin.
My ex went from a different less local airport with his affair piece, probably to reduce chance of seeing someone we know.
Golf trip with 2 is a bit odd, usually bigger groups. Just ask him and save the stress.

Yes you are right. I didn't realise there was a difference between Find My and other location services on other devices.

Find my is a bloody godsend.
