Update from me - Mr L spent the weekend at my house and we had a blast. Movie and wine on Friday and I cooked for him for the first time -
My nerves 😂 we went out for dinner and drinks Saturday night and met with 2 of my sisters and their husbands..that was such a big deal for me because my sisters are my best friends but both sides liked each other and they are happy for me. The feelings are deepening which is so scary for my cold dead heart
Also he is 50 in a few weeks and he has decided to have a bit of a gathering with all of his friends and family and wants me there - aaarrgghh meeting loads of new people freaks me out and what am I going to wear
I’m really happy though and a bit amazed how well we get on - long distance and loads of baggage seems to work for us :)

Within an hour of re downloading OKC the iron I’d met just before meeting MrM (one date only, he sort of forced himself on me for a hideous washing machine snog in my car at the end before texting me later to say he didn’t think we were suited - no shit Sherlock, you clearly iron your jeans) had texted me to say he’d seen me on there. It was a horrible snidey “ooohh haven’t you met anyone yet?” message which he felt compelled to send me via text as he’s blocked on WhatsApp. Ugh.

I honestly can’t believe I went 31 days without alcohol. So chuffed with myself and all the dry January crew.

After much thought I’ve decided that I will only drink on high days and holidays from now on, never alone in front of the TV. It will be interesting to see how ‘moderation’ like this pans out.
