Women’s trousers found in my bedroom - not mine?

Ok. Doesn’t look good.

But I am home everyday. Literally every day. Husband has worked from home most days for the past 18 months. Only recently started to go back to the office.

He had one business trip maybe a month ago.

Trousers are navy Lonsdale joggers. Definitely not mine.

Husband is offended I’ve asked him there they came from.

This is weird right? Is there only one logical explanation?

Yanbu. Clean or dirty? I guess they have come back from the work trip either accidentally or deliberately if the woman wanted you to know.

Changernamerjoker · 03/11/2021 16:28

Size 10 ‘Lonsdale’

Have you had any friends stay?

ShowOfHands · 03/11/2021 16:28

I found women's knickers in my then dp, now DH's bedroom years ago and there was a completely rational explanation. It's probably rarer than the alternative but it can be innocent.

I also think the reaction to the q is quite telling. DH was utterly baffled when we found them and as curious as I was. He wasn't offended because there was no offence to give or take iyswim. He genuinely had no idea.

Nap1983 · 03/11/2021 16:29

I would highly doubt your husband would be shagging a woman in Lonsdale trackies whilst away with work…. Even more surprised if she left his hotel with no trousers 😂😂

Nuttymonkey · 03/11/2021 16:29

Do you go to the gym? Could you have accidentally picked them up? Any friends or relatives stay over?
Sorry it doesn't sound good! I'd be asking to look at his phone and media etc. I'm sure if he found men's trousers then he'd be thinking the same!!

neededafart · 03/11/2021 16:29

They are awful joggers. Missed point spectacularly

Changernamerjoker · 03/11/2021 16:29

No one has stayed, the last person was his mother back in august, these wouldn’t be hers.

If you were meeting a married man for an illicit affair, would you be wearing Lonsdale joggers?

No kids? No visitors?

NotAnotherPushyMum · 03/11/2021 16:30

It would be weird for whoever they belonged to to go home not wearing them, so I would imagine there’s been a mix up with laundry somewhere or other.

AnyFucker · 03/11/2021 16:30

Not very femme fatale is it ?

So your H is “offended” you are asking a perfectly valid question then. So what else has he got to say about it ?

NeverTheHootenanny · 03/11/2021 16:30

Where did you find them? In with your clothes? In his case?

Cheeeeislifenow · 03/11/2021 16:30

They don't look like they have been "planted" by an ow.... Lonsdale joggers doesn't scream "leave your wife for all this."

Changernamerjoker · 03/11/2021 16:31

Well this is what I’m hoping. They are not exactly weekend away lounge wear…

Do you have a cleaner?

Tal45 · 03/11/2021 16:31

Where in the bedroom were they? Surely she wouldn't have left without her trousers!! That would be brazen.

Sunseeker90 · 03/11/2021 16:31

Who else lives at the house?

Justilou1 · 03/11/2021 16:32

Of course he’s offended… How very dare you question his integrity and show him up with evidence!!!

On our bedroom floor today. I was clearing out things (big clear out) so it’s possible they have come from an old
Pile. We did use a laundrette a while back (Feb time?!)

I once found a pair of size 8 jeans in my bedroom. I am definitely not size 8. I asked my son's gf but she denied all knowledge. I was flummoxed but it never occurred to me that it could be my dh being unfaithful - I trust him 100%

I eventually realised that they were indeed mine - bought in a sale in Gap months before, I'd taken off the tags but never worn them, hence not recognising them. The jeans had American sizing, and were actually a UK size 12.

The fact that you're considering the worst means that you're suspicious.

Namechangedox · 03/11/2021 16:34

I really don't think a woman coming to meet a man for illicit sex and an affair would be wearing Lonsdale jogging bottoms Grin I could be wrong though.

FazedNotPhased · 03/11/2021 16:36

Picked up at the gym or at the hotel he stayed at for his work trip? It's possible to pack a bag and not really look at what you're packing because you assume it's all yours, and possible for a hotel not to have cleared a room properly.

His reaction would be the decider for me I suppose, and our relationship in general.

Evenstar · 03/11/2021 16:36

Do you have teenagers or a student DC? Our DS boarded for sixth form and all sorts got mixed up in the communal laundry facilities. We had a couple of girls T shirts when they cleared the accommodation.

Lsquiggles · 03/11/2021 16:36

What did he actually say when you asked about them?

AchyFlower · 03/11/2021 16:36

Probably laundrette or gym. I'd expect more of a reaction than offended though. Like genuine I have no idea.
