Women’s trousers found in my bedroom - not mine?

Ok. Doesn’t look good.

But I am home everyday. Literally every day. Husband has worked from home most days for the past 18 months. Only recently started to go back to the office.

He had one business trip maybe a month ago.

Trousers are navy Lonsdale joggers. Definitely not mine.

Husband is offended I’ve asked him there they came from.

This is weird right? Is there only one logical explanation?

He wasn't going to wear them, she was. He might have got into them if they were left behind

BigFatLiar · 03/11/2021 22:18

I think OP is using this as a smokescreen in case her OH finds out about her female lover. She's getting the accusations in first.

Lotusmonster · 03/11/2021 22:20

Maybe the scarlet woman is just a no-nonsense type who values comfy practical clothes for her affairs that she can slip in and out of easily for a serendipitous quickie. The Lonsdale joggers have got to be easier that tight skinny jeans and long boots….they sure as hell ain’t sexy but they do the job.

SweetBabyCheeses99 · 03/11/2021 22:22

From the picture they look worn. Do they smell worn too or like fresh laundry?! If the former then I think it’s highly unlikely they’ve come from the laundrette. Your husband owes you an explanation.

If you see someone whizzing towards Sports Direct tomorrow, it's her

My DS often stays over at his gf and leaves clothes there. Her mum washed a pair of his undies but thought they were here older daughters boyfriend’s so gave them to her to return when she visited her bf’s parents. Not thinking she handed them to him in front of his parents only for him to say”those aren’t mine”. Great start to her first meet the parents weekend.
I often find gf clothing in the wash, a pair of Lonsdale wouldn’t raise an eyebrow.

@ShowOfHands

I found women's knickers in my then dp, now DH's bedroom years ago and there was a completely rational explanation. It's probably rarer than the alternative but it can be innocent.

I also think the reaction to the q is quite telling. DH was utterly baffled when we found them and as curious as I was. He wasn't offended because there was no offence to give or take iyswim. He genuinely had no idea.

Dying to know the explanation!

@Hormonehelp

Do you have a cleaner? Ours changes into clothes like this as her cleaning clothes….
Does she get changed so you don't just think she's a slob? That's kind of sweet.
ShowOfHands · 04/11/2021 16:20

@ratussbaguss can I just say how much I love your name! Don't get too excited. The rational explanation is v dull. DH lived in a house share and we had been visiting family over the Easter break. His housemate's Mum, unbeknownst to us at the time, was in an abusive relationship and had fled and had stayed with her DD for a few days before a room in a refuge was available and she'd used DH's room. The housemate rang us up sheepishly and said er, I don't suppose you've found a pair of size 16 pants and some contact lens solution in your room? We did then find the lens solution under the bed! We're still friends with the house mate and it's become quite the story.

Away with work, how many nights away? They shared a hotel room. They went to the gym. He brought back some of her laundry. Oops
