Women’s trousers found in my bedroom - not mine?

Ok. Doesn’t look good.

But I am home everyday. Literally every day. Husband has worked from home most days for the past 18 months. Only recently started to go back to the office.

He had one business trip maybe a month ago.

Trousers are navy Lonsdale joggers. Definitely not mine.

Husband is offended I’ve asked him there they came from.

This is weird right? Is there only one logical explanation?

TBH if there's a possibility they've been stuck in a pile, & you used a laundrette earlier in the year, it seems more likely that's the explanation. Do they smell freshly washed? Or like they've just been sat in a pile for several months? Are they clean or otherwise?

trumpisagit · 03/11/2021 16:37

Pe kit mix up in your washing?

RachelHasThoseInBurgundy · 03/11/2021 16:38

Probably from the launderette back in feb

PurplePikachu · 03/11/2021 16:38

Last time we used a launderette DH’s shirts came back with a tulle silver sparkly skirt folded up with them. It was clearly a little girl’s skirt. Plus fortunately I was the one to collect the washed clothes so knew that’s where it had come from.

If you otherwise trust him and you’ve been having a big tidy up, I’d assume they came from the launderette.

Comedycook · 03/11/2021 16:40

Seems unlikely...you don't leave somewhere without bottom half being clothed...it's not like you'd forget them. Also if you were planting something in the hope your lovers wife would find them, joggers wouldn't be the first choice. You'd go for knickers, an earring or lipstick wouldn't you? Just sounds like one of those random things to me

ProfYaffle · 03/11/2021 16:40

Do you have teens in the house? Looks like something that could get picked up when getting changed for PE. The colour is a bit 'school uniformy'.

DoesHePlayTheFiddle · 03/11/2021 16:40

Launderette. I'm not usually willing to overlook random clothes, but these have an air of launderette about them. I was in one today. I speak with authority.

RonSwansonsChair · 03/11/2021 16:42

@Changernamerjoker

On our bedroom floor today. I was clearing out things (big clear out) so it’s possible they have come from an old Pile. We did use a laundrette a while back (Feb time?!)
I found a 6yr old girls dress in amongst my laundry one time - we have no girls in this house, so I was thoroughly puzzled Confused turns out they got mixed up with my stuff when my Ironing lady returned the Ironing i hate ironing Sometimes there's a simple explanation & nothing nefarious is going on - my guess is that it got caught up in your load from the laundrette & fell out today while you were doing your clear out.

BrilliantBetty · 03/11/2021 16:46

Do you go to the gym? Could you have picked these up from a locker/ changing bench and just chucked them in a bag and emptied whole contents in to the wash... gone through unnoticed type thing?

Or teenagers have had pals round?

My cat occasionally brings other people's socks in but I don't think she could carry joggers!

GoldenElephant · 03/11/2021 16:48

Do they smell freshly laundered? Or worn?

SirensofTitan · 03/11/2021 16:48

This is a step up from the random underwear appearing in strange places Grin

I have no suggestions but have found odd socks in my washing a couple of times that I know didn't belong to anyone in my house. I'm single so i absolutely nothing to do with an OW. Not everything is suspicious even if unexplained

Mybalconyiscracking · 03/11/2021 16:49

Some woman was out jogging, ran in, shagged your DH and then ran out again, failing to take her trousers with her…

OnwardsAndSideways1 · 03/11/2021 16:51

I once found a pair of red boy's pants in my house. We don't have boys. We also have a pair of glasses that doesn't match anyone here's eyesight, never understood where they came from. Stuff does find its way in!

jagoda · 03/11/2021 16:57

Do you have DC who could have brought home joggers with PE kit.

DS used to bring home other peoples PE stuff more regularly than his own.

Or older teens who sleepover?

Have you and DH been away together and left the DC at home and they had a "gathering?"

PassingByAndThoughtIdDropIn · 03/11/2021 17:03

Do they smell of laundrette?

But I wouldn't dismiss the affair hypothesis solely on the basis of the unsexiness of the trousers. I think that a random hookup at a work conference might well have packed some joggers for her downtime and got them mixed up in the packing.

CaMePlaitPas · 03/11/2021 17:05

Are they his? Has he recently gone thrift shopping and thought they were just plain blue mens joggers?

debwong · 03/11/2021 17:06

I'm sorry but your DH is clearly shagging Sporty Spice

ILoveShula · 03/11/2021 17:06

Your DH might be into cross-dressing

Dontstepinthecowpat · 03/11/2021 17:07

Did you ask him outright if he was having an affair? I can’t imagine finding a pair of lonsdale joggers and linking them with an affair tbh. Is there reason for you to suspect this?

lastqueenofscotland · 03/11/2021 17:07

Gym or PE kit mix up was my first thought

dead.
OooohAhhhh · 03/11/2021 17:11

Could have came from the laundrettes accidentally?

hahahahaha

Joggers could be next day wear for someone who wore a different style of clothing the night before....

Couldn't find them, assumed she didn't bring them, wore last nights clothes and hey presto - they end up in your room.

(Caveat - I do realise that I am jumping to many conclusions here 😂)
