Women’s trousers found in my bedroom - not mine?

Ok. Doesn’t look good.

But I am home everyday. Literally every day. Husband has worked from home most days for the past 18 months. Only recently started to go back to the office.

He had one business trip maybe a month ago.

Trousers are navy Lonsdale joggers. Definitely not mine.

Husband is offended I’ve asked him there they came from.

This is weird right? Is there only one logical explanation?

@Whydidimarryhim

How can you tell they are women’s? Am I missing something?
sizing, men don't wear a size 10
PassingByAndThoughtIdDropIn · 03/11/2021 17:38

Size 10 is a woman's size so not adult men's clothes - although if the OP hasn't checked them for length they could be age 10, and DH could have an entire secret family on the go.

TrevorFountain · 03/11/2021 17:50

I suppose it makes a change from linggery.

stalkersaga · 03/11/2021 17:51

A women's gym kit two sizes too big for me once turned up in our laundry. Running shorts and top. Both of us were flummoxed. We both belonged to gyms at the time so one of us must somehow have brought them home, but we never did figure out how. I still have the shorts somewhere.

KittenKong · 03/11/2021 17:51

@Nap1983

I would highly doubt your husband would be shagging a woman in Lonsdale trackies whilst away with work…. Even more surprised if she left his hotel with no trousers 😂😂
That’s what i was going to say!
KittenKong · 03/11/2021 17:52

DS once came home from a residential with loads of odd clothes. Some of his went elsewhere.

Gwlondon · 03/11/2021 17:52

I think Laundrette. If you are having a clear out they could be from a long time ago. Or you bought them ages ago?

HarrisonStickle · 03/11/2021 17:54

@ILoveShula

Your DH might be into cross-dressing
Grin Grin Grin Grin

He needs some help with that if he's dressing up in Lonsdale joggers!

HappyDays101010 · 03/11/2021 17:56

I know of a person left knickers behind to alert the wife - sexy lacy knickers. Not scraggy old joggers Grin.

The fact that you thought 'only one explanation' is whats odd here, and it's that that would make me think he's having an affair rather than the 'evidence' you have found. Unless you have form for suspicion.

ILoveShula · 03/11/2021 17:56

I'd stick them on ebay. If you get some creepy enquiries it might be some sort of fetish

Threewheeler1 · 03/11/2021 17:56

Or maybe you have a ghost....wooooooo?
Think I'd find it hard to take a ghost in a tracky that seriously.

I'd go with the launderette theory. When i lived in a flat I often came home with some really grim stuff hiding inside my clothes (random men's pants being the favourite) Envy

mm40 · 03/11/2021 17:57

This will probably sound bizarre but this has happened to us a few times over the last 20+ years. We’ve never got to the bottom of it but all sorts of garments ( male and female) have appeared. We’ve always been able to laugh it off

girlmom21 · 03/11/2021 17:58

I thought teenagers PE kit mix up too

Ericabro · 03/11/2021 18:05

Do you ever use a ironing service? very easy to end up with other peoples clothes

Whatwaswrongwiththatusername · 03/11/2021 18:06

So you say they were on the floor after you started clearing out? But you say you found them on the bedroom floor so this isn't clear, were they there before you started the clear out or did you find them within the piles of clothes you'd cleared out? Because finding random clothes on the floor is quite different to finding them in/on pile after you started the clear out? So it's possible they were/had been stuck in the wardrobe for years for all you know?

Whatwaswrongwiththatusername · 03/11/2021 18:07

@Changernamerjoker

diddl · 03/11/2021 18:07

So you haven't just found a stray pair of jogging trousers, they were mixed in with other stuff that had been put away?

By whom?

Was the stuff from the laundrette sorted through or just put away in a pile?

Ringsender2 · 03/11/2021 18:09

@GertrudeBElion

There was knickers last week, then the other night it was a stocking.

Now there are some joggers.

Fully awaiting tomorrows

Found some women's over the knee fishing waders, not mine. What should I do? thread.

I think it will be 'found some woman in my laundry basket/utility room/tumble drier. I asked my husband about it but he's in a strop.

TillyTopper · 03/11/2021 18:09

It could have a simple explanation. I used to stay in hotels a lot for work (pre CV19) the hotel sent me a woman's nightdress after one of the trips. It wasn't mine (I am female) but I did think at the time it wouldn't look good if I was male and they had sent it to me. So mistakes can happened - although they seem unlikely.

larkstar · 03/11/2021 18:12

Did you check for a half naked woman hiding in a wardrobe?

usernumberno46273 · 03/11/2021 18:13

Who the hell buys Lonsdale these days 😅

IntermittentParps · 03/11/2021 18:22

@Changernamerjoker

On our bedroom floor today. I was clearing out things (big clear out) so it’s possible they have come from an old Pile. We did use a laundrette a while back (Feb time?!)
Surely they're from the laundrette then?
LouReading · 03/11/2021 18:24

Forget the joggers - that's my old carpet! When was that photo taken?!

Itsnotallaboutyoubaby · 03/11/2021 18:25

What’s wrong with Lonsdale? Grin

Doris86 · 03/11/2021 18:28

Mystery solved then. Accidentally brought home from launderette.
