I just had a interesting work call! One of my managers is friends with someone who heads up the logistics/transport sector at our company and he has offered to connect me with him. He's obviously keeping it quiet given that i absolutely need the job i currently have. But Yay! This day has definitely improved. Got to study for the 7th December then my final truck exams will be behind me! (well hopefully...)

No dating update from me. Nothing from Mr Cricket but I don't expect anything whilst he is training and he is in the office tomorrow. He probably rolled his eyes at my over dramatic message yesterday🤣🙈🤦‍♀️ and thought what is this woman on.🤣

I didn't get shortlisted for that job. I'll just keep looking elsewhere. And I've just paid a small fortune out to get my car through its mot, if I could I get a new car I so would right now.

Cars can be a right pita at times, my car which was new 18months ago on the drive back home this lunchtime and only being serviced 4 weeks now has the engine management warning light, handbook says contact dealer

Thanks @StartingAgain6369 I'm currently car less as it needed so much doing to it they asked if they could get it back to me tomorrow🤦‍♀️. I knew something was wrong with the suspension as it wasn't fun to drive anymore. I'm looking forward to getting it back and going on a decent drive.

My date 0 for tomorrow has been in touch to ask if I can get to x which is roughly half way. Not heard anything since I said yes I can. Considering it is meant to be tomorrow night he is cutting it really fine. Feels very last minute to me.

I have the afternoon off work tomorrow so have made plans although I am free in the evening

My car currently has two warning lights on. They come on so much I just ignore them now.

I've not had any water in my bathroom sink for three weeks now, can't get the plumber to come and sort it - he isolated the taps and hasn't come back. It's really depressing.

Can't get tradespeople to do anything round here. And I don't know anyone who could help (except MrWG but he's so unavailable it's not worth even asking!).

And for those who remember MrDecorator, he is looking for a new place to rent and he texted to let me know he'd looked at the house next door to me which came up for rent this week. Urgh!

@VanGoghsDog plumbers are a rare breed atm, part of my job is maintenance management, we've got 2 boilers, one is playing warning light bingo, the plumber has been booked for 2 weeks and can't come till the 17th

@StartingAgain6369 coils and springs. It did have a health check as well before the mot. So I'm happy now and it feels so much nicer to drive.

@Shayelle2009 not too upset I think I'm not quite ready but I'll look elsewhere for the same thing I do for more money.

Evening all will catch up later but wanted to tell you about my date last night.

Was with mr IT, was meant to be coffee he suggested eating a couple of hours before so didn't really have enough time to get ready with work and sorting the kids out but made it on time. I couldn't remember how tall he was so went in flats to be safe lol.

Met outside and sat down and didn't stop talking. Had been very easy to talk to on the phone the night before so was good to be able to carry on.

He is more soft and gentle than I would normally go for but is a really nice bloke. Had a bit of a kiss outside before I had to dash off and pick up the kids.

Will defo see him again, have just had a chat on the way home from work and I'm still not entirely convinced he isn't going to catch feelings as this is a potential FWB. However I have been completely open and honest and checked he can deal with it and he says he can. So we will have to see how it develops. We have been sexting and if he can live up to what he is advertising then all good

To be fair to him, he did tell me ages ago that his tenancy ends at the end of this year and he doesn't like the house he's in, plus he lives very close to me and the house next door is the only house for rent currently within about five miles (remarkable I know! But the owners were telling me yesterday).

I don't think it would suit him anyway, but who knows. I told him to bring chocolate!
