@BelladiMamma me and Mr M are getting on really well and think we're both a little smitten (and I think he's getting very close to telling me 😱). He's looking at booking us our first weekend away for December on my only childfree weekend to a lovely city with Xmas markets - I can't wait ☺

Slightly annoyed by my date zero - messaged him last night to say to let me know what train he was getting in (I said after 3pm would work for me) and no reply?

Thinking of pre-empting and cancelling my end as I don’t want to be waiting around.

(I imagine other weekend plans cropped up his end which is fine but I don’t want a date zero with someone who can’t schedule things in correctly)

@Languidleopard, I know that it hurts massively to think that someone you have feelings for could treat you so poorly but try to use this to see him for who he really is. The only way we could applaud his honesty would be if he admitted to the date and apologised for any hurt it might cause you. But do you really want to be with someone who appears not to care about your feelings just because he told you upfront it wouldn’t become a relationship. You absolutely deserve better and you need to enforce your boundaries and not accept breadcrumbs again. 💕 I’ve almost been where you are with a long-standing FWB Mr Cocky who I allowed myself to accept pretty crap behaviour from at times because he told me he couldn’t offer a relationship but gave me tons of attention all the time- whilst going off and seeing other women, but I had no come back because I supposedly knew what I was getting into. I would like to think I would never accept breadcrumbs from anyone ever again. ( and just to update the long standing threadees who will have seen me post about him before I haven’t seen him in person in over a year and NC since March. We had some good times but I wouldn’t want to be so loosely attached to someone again who I had feelings for. It causes more hurt than happiness in the long run. )

(I think he’s a nice guy who basically was juggling a few things and went out and got drunk last night...but on my end it just was getting frustrating not knowing when I was eating or if I could go to the gym or not?)

Update to outfit. Decided to go slightly more low key and have packed trouser suit in case of dinner.

Am wearing long fitted black dress from whistles in black jersey with slit up the side. Boots, fitted, from LK Bennett. Cartier watch. Expensive underwear, very little of it. Fluffy midnight blue coat from Reiss. Leather burgundy large handbag from Barbour

Outfit the cost of all inclusive holiday in Spain. May need to adjust my clothing budget now I'm no longer married to a very rich man

I don’t think there was a massive connection or interest either end tbh and if I’m having a friend for coffee or lunches probably easier to find someone local who isn’t a train journey away?
