Husband looking at teenage girls

Candyblosoom1 · 31/07/2021 23:26

I caught my husband (early 40s) looking at teenage girls a few times when we're out.

The girls he looks at are usually wearing mini skirts, shorts or have their breast out.

They look like there are between 15-18 years old.

I remember when I was around 14, I had a few men staring at me even though I always dressed modestly so I'm starting to wonder if that's in men's nature.

I asked one of my friend who's husband thinks his behaviour is normal. That every men are attracted to young girls(15-18) with boobs or nice legs even if they don't want to admit it. It doesn't mean that they will act on it.

OP posts:

I guess in some cases men won’t actually know how old they are..they could think they are 18+ and it’s obviously no secret that men find young women attractive..still a creepy age difference but I think not uncommon. However...I distinctly remember being stared at and beeped by men in vans / cars when I was walking to school in my school uniform so obviously under 16 at the time! It’s horrible I remember getting stares a lot younger at 11/12. Dreading my girls getting to be that age in this respect

Enough4me · 01/08/2021 23:31

Men are forced into it.
Men need to perve or their eyes pop?
Men needs sex or their balls pop?
Men need to hit out or their brain implodes?
Nope, doesn't work.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 01/08/2021 23:34

I don’t agree with the idea that it always works to swop the way a man might think, feel or behave with how a woman would be in the same situation.
Why?
Why do you hold men to such low standards?
If a female friend in her forties was clearly leering over a teen boy, you’d be revolted. Why should we “expect it” from adult males?

Maskless · 01/08/2021 23:34

"Men can't help themselves from looking at children?
Perverts."

We are not talking about children. Children don't wear sexy/revealing clothing.

When men look at a nubile sexy-looking teen they can't tell if they are 14,15,16,17,18,19. Does not make them paedos. Until the 1880s the age of consent in the UK was 13. There are countries were one can marry at 14/15.

When me and my friends were 14-15-16-17 we'd pay a child fare to the bus driver or conductor to go to the pub, where we'd fool the barmen and landlord that we were 18. Men are clearly very poor judges of age.

NiceGerbil · 01/08/2021 23:35

The standard of 'that's life ladies get over it' posters used to be much higher.

I don't think I've seen one come out and say so blunty.

Men STARING at girls (usually starts between 10 and 13 whenever your body starts developing) is normal and men cant help it!

And look- men want to watch porn with girls that age and up! It's illegal so they have women who look really young instead!

It's normal for men to stare and imagine fucking them and want to watch recordings of other men fucking them!

FFS get over it. Pointless to be Offended!!!

Yep not subtle really!

NiceGerbil · 01/08/2021 23:37

Nah. It's usually worse when in school uniform.

The oh men can't tell the difference girls look so old these days. Is an excuse and justification that has been around for at least decades I'd guess more.

And used as an excuse for way worse things then staring sadly.

Summerfun54321 · 01/08/2021 23:38

Those on here excusing 40 year old men glaring at young teenage girls need to start raising their standards and dating better men. The OP has said she’s seen her husband do it more than once in her company. Can you imagine the kind of creep he is when he’s on his own or with his mates 🤮

changeyourname11111 · 01/08/2021 23:38

My 15 year old has had comments made to her while in her school uniform. No doubt about her age. Not that comments are okay at any age. I cannot express the hatred I feel towards anyone who does this to my children or to someone else’s.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 01/08/2021 23:38

Or those particular men were well aware you were under 18 but didn't care...

Even if most men were how you believe they are, say 75% looked at 15 year olds in that - wouldn't you want to be with someone in the 25% who didn't?

People frequently doing something wrong doesn't mean people are prudes / deluded for saying it's a boundary they aren't willing to cross.

If most people drove drunk / cheated / were racist / were sexist etc wouldn't you want to be with someone who wasn't?

Laughing at those with that higher bar for partners is really sad and makes me feel sorry for you.

Old men staring at my young teen DD make me want to vomit to fill a swimming pool and push them in.

Bullshit. How many lesbians have trouble seeing underage girls as what they are? It’s an excuse ‘oh I couldn’t tell she was 14 cos she had makeup on and a short skirt’. 💩

Your attitude is fucking shocking.

changeyourname11111 · 01/08/2021 23:40

I’ll help you @Enough4me.

Bollocks.

It starts as soon as your body starts to change.

If men are such poor judges of age then why the hell are you claiming that creepy men magically know when a girl has turned 14?!

Inconsistent defensive nonsense.

Teehee men love perving over girls. We can't help it! Get over it.

It starts when your body starts changing whether that's 10, 12 or 13.

No I didn't mean that!!!!

Hopeless.

I never said I “expected” men in their 40s to leer over teenage girls.

I would be certainly be revolted if they did.

I would not be surprised though if, privately, an older man had a passing thought that a teenage girl was lovely, though. You can’t police someone’s thoughts.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 01/08/2021 23:44

It makes them ephebophiliacs technically @Maskless aka creeps who fancy girls who are children. Not adults.

Don't you remember how it feels to be age 15-17 for example and feel so uncomfortable and perhaps scared to see a much older man looking at you, checking you out in an obviously 'he's attracted to me' way?

Would you genuinely not feel disgusted by a man in his 40s for example looking at a 15/16 year old daughter of yours that way?!

NiceGerbil · 01/08/2021 23:48

'nubile' boak.

Someone has a definite predilection here. Teen porn. Nubile girls. Deliberately wearing sexy clothes to get men to look.

Urgh.

No all men do not look.
Let alone stare.
We know this because we were once girls.
You like to assume all men perve over girls.
We know they don't.

Can you explain why you’d not be surprised by it from males, but you would from females? And why this juxtaposition in moral expectations? Why do you have such low expectations of men?

'I would not be surprised though if, privately, an older man had a passing thought that a teenage girl was lovely, though. You can’t police someone’s thoughts.'

And what on earth does this have to do with any of this?

It's about grown men staring at girls and women.

Staring.

Another poster has said that's normal and for reasons we can only guess at, pointed out that the age of consent used to be 13.

Girl where of age in the past once they started there period.

Men will stare at teens that have bodies that are developed like women.

Is it wrong - yes

What can be done? Not much with regards staring… hopefully there will be new laws against cat calling and unwanted sexual harassment

Holothane · 01/08/2021 23:51

Ew no just no, we’re both older we both laugh about our crushes, they are older too. Anything very young off limit it’s just ew, and to do this on the street er no.

Shellady · 01/08/2021 23:52

@Newbornandupwards

I don't lust after teenage boys who are ripped etc

Isn't it funny how that instinctively seems all wrong even just reading it, we know what's right and wrong and leering at young people when you're twice their age is every sort of wrong

Oh yes which is why I’ve always thought it very strange that so many men are into (and some women are cool with) porn that portrays this , especially considering the fact that many of these companies have been in trouble lately Sure those who think it’s just another form of entertainment will argue that the actresses are just pretending to be teens but that’s a thin line and why are they interested in it anyway would be my question The next argument you’ll hear from them is oh teen means 18 and 19 . So I guess men have a magical radar that detects the 18th bday ??? Very strange . I just don’t get the fetishing of this and think it’s actually rampant with a lot of men sadly . Also hard to believe so many of them watch this catagory and them don’t have these thoughts when they see teens irl OP it’s disgusting and what others are saying is true . It’s way better to have a failed marriage than spend your life married to someone like this
CtrlU · 01/08/2021 23:53

I think that’s disgusting and predatory of your husband.

And anyone who justifies this behaviour is even more sick

It’s normal for men to stare

But the morale of staring is a separate matter. Most will say it’s not right

Experience.

Haven't you noticed that the OPs partner does it and another poster is saying it's totally normal. Esp with the sexy alluring clothes and nubile bodies. And proof- teen porn really popular....

I don't think it's those saying it's not all men it's only creeps are the ones with low expectations of men ..!
