Has anyone experienced such an intense chemistry with a new partner before?

I've just started seeing someone. From the second I saw him it has been overwhelming, there is an incredible pull towards him but a familiarity at the same time. Sexually it is like nothing I've ever experienced before. He is feeling the same - he brought it up the other day and said about it. It's like a craving, but instead of craving on a purely sexual level I'm craving him. We connect on an intellectual and emotional level too, it's effortless and feels as easy as breathing.

It's terrifying me quite frankly! We started seeing each other three weeks ago and I'm not a lovesick teenager, I'm a grown woman and he is a grown man. As back ground we've never met before but have mutual friends and he is pretty universally thought of as a decent, good man.
Does anyone have experience of this?!

Yes same here and we're on 22 years.
We had quite a tough time at the start with extraneous things going on and we talked about giving it up but neither of us could bear the thought.
We still have that same connection, 3 kids and much ill-health later.

Why is everyone a person meets these days a 'partner'?

HappyCamperT5 · 30/06/2021 21:24

Yep! 2kids and 11 years later and we feel exactly the same ❤️

Because saying boyfriend seems odd when you are 37?!
There was no real point behind it, quick typing is all. Maybe 'squeeze' would've been better Grin

Yes. We've been together for 27 years and have four amazing kids. Absolutely mental for the first few months. He gave me the key to his flat after 10 days and we've been together ever since.

I did with someone when I was first single, it was like nothing I’ve ever felt in my life and I doubt I’ll ever have it again. Ultimately the timing and other things were wrong but it was incredible

I’ve got 90% of that with my current partner. I look at him and think he’s the most sexy attractive man and can’t believe my luck. Luckily we also get on brilliantly too but the chemistry is hot

Ah I do apologise for phrasing the title incredibly badly, how foolish of me.

Yes I'm aware it could well be. I'm keeping my eyes on something still too.

Of course. It's just hormones and chemicals though. biology. Evolution. Nothing more nothing less. May as well enjoy it all the same

Yes, but it couldn't work long term because we were different religions/cultures and it was just too hard to deal with. A bit of me is still heartbroken 30 years later. I know he is too.

With an ex. It was a torrid fling, had no future at all but my god what a summer we had Grin

I grew to feel that about DH, as I got to know him, after neither liking nor being attracted to him when we first met.

Still pretty obsessed with him (DH) and he says and shows he feels the same after years of marriage and kids and normal life. He makes the blood in my veins feel sparkly and also feels like home.

Enjoy every minute OP, he might be the love of your life or just give you an amazing summer - there’s merit in both!
