if he was interested he would have showed more interest in text today

He'll probably be getting the exact same 'play it cool' nonsense women get.

Was the sex good? Would you like some more? If yes, book him in again for another go. The rest will work itself out, but it's madness to pass up a good thing based on the imagined judgement of nonexistent people.

Doubt it! I don’t think men over analyse things half as much as women.

Iwonder08 · 24/06/2021 20:17

Oh dear, are you from the past? You know modern women can enjoy or even initiate sex when they want.

donquixotedelamancha · 24/06/2021 20:27

Speaking for my people- yes we do. We have the exact same conversations I see on here (apart from the feeling judged for having sex- that does not come up).

LoopTheLoops · 24/06/2021 20:32

Yeh men don’t really worry if the woman will still like them after or still want to see them etc.

Wide · 24/06/2021 20:44

I think he sounded interested by asking why you didn't txt so why be so negative about him? I'm sorry but he hasn't really done anything wrong and now you've rushed into sex you're looking and over thinking all these things which wouldn't have happened otherwise. I'm not saying you shouldn't have had sex but you chose to so you can't start looking into things wrongly from his msging

Sandra15 · 24/06/2021 20:45

@hopeishere

If he's they type of guy to dump you for having sex on a first date he's not worth dating.

I did this once and the guy made it clear he saw no long term future with someone who would do that despite him doing the same. Tosser.

That is just an excuse to get a shag without commitment!
Nancydrawn · 24/06/2021 20:49

@Sarahlou63

Tell him you still respect him...
Ha!
roarfeckingroarr · 24/06/2021 20:51

I shagged DH on the first day we met. Still here, us and our 8 month old.

Shelddd · 24/06/2021 20:53

@LoopTheLoops

The thing is people will say “oh I slept with someone first night and now we are married” but I reckon that’s rare, I would say there are far more men that ghost after or make it clear they just want to keep you on for sex, so definitely don’t chase!
Is it that rare? I don't know. I'm another sex in first date, together 10 so far and going great.

Lots of people my age (mid 30s) it's a pretty typical experience. Sure you have sex on first date and it doesn't work out lots but you also wait and it also doesn't work out. I'm not going to share numbers but I've been on more first dates with no sex that went no where then the other way around.

AnnieSnap · 24/06/2021 20:56

I’m another sex on first date. Together 13 years

66babe · 24/06/2021 20:59

Just to put some perspective ... I've never had sex on a first date but still had the whole dating drama and never found the one
Don't think it makes the slightest bit of difference
As long as you are safe and protect yourself ... enjoy life
I should have had more sex .. but didn't as I thought I was a " good girl " and men wouldn't respect me
Bollocks ... absolute crap

CorianderBee · 24/06/2021 21:09

I know loads of people who slept together on the first date and have LTR now. It's not the 1970s

Crimeismymiddlename · 24/06/2021 21:25

All my best, long term relationships ether started with sex on a first date, or sex before the date. If he is not into you after having sex then at least you have not wasted loads of time.

sabrinathemiddleagewitch · 24/06/2021 21:40

Still with my shag on first date after over a decade...

JackieTheFart · 24/06/2021 21:43

I married my 'sex on a first date' guy. We've been together 18 years and married for 9! Fuck that's a long time.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 24/06/2021 21:46

@Sunnyday321

Had sex with mine on first date we've been together 22 years.
40 here. We shagged like rabbits on our first date. He doesn’t sound like he’s checked out, if he has-his loss.
Bythecooker · 24/06/2021 23:02

I agree with @66babe. I'm a bit the other way, hold off, bit shy, possibly verging on uptight. Get just as shafted! Don't beat yourself up, practise safe sex, have fun, I think you'd have to wait 6 months to really know if they were a player and that's not realistic!

How do you manage to have sex before a date??
MissTrip82 · 25/06/2021 01:35

You don’t ‘ruin’ anything by having sex when you want to. You’re just hearing the faint echoes of a very outdated and entirely misogynistic societal message.

NiceGerbil · 25/06/2021 02:02

Corona you meet them in s pub or club and shag them that night.

Then you exchange numbers or whatever and have your first date.

Thing is I think s fair few blokes think like that.

They're arseholes of course so the best thing to do is have sex ASAP and if they are interested after they're not arseholes, at least in that respect.

Saves time and effort and potentially more upset to find out if they're just after a shag asap.

Why do people have to be in such a hurry, with constant texts etc. after one date. , with or without sex.. Dating was never like this in my dating days.Everything was much simpler.

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/06/2021 02:16

He had sex on the first date too...

Mine was too but mostly it was before mobile phones, social media etc.

It's just different. I think it's really difficult for everyone.
